+1 for swimming. For those of you that can go to a horse riding club; do that. There is nothing out there that can work out so many muscles at the same time.

I wouldn't go any higher than 14000K - 15000K for a freshwater planted tank. I was surprised to see the results with 14000K but anything higher will be pushing it. You'd typically need those spectra for frags.

Sounds like he apisto'd on you. They can be quite terrible that way. I think it may have been the females. I had a few that went through no less than half a dozen males.

It sure will! In fact it will be fantastic.

Most green swords should be ok, but I don't think that glosso will grow under those lights given the depth of the tank.

It actually looks pretty great with FW tanks. It'll be blue-ish for a couple of weeks before it dulls down to a more normal watery colour.

Try 14000K. It should make a marked improvement despite its unusual spectrum. It should also be much cheaper than the 6500K bulbs.

Just for glosso? Nah, its over rated. Well I got bored of it pretty quickly. :slfg: But try it out and see if you like it. There a literally thousands of plants that you can have, so don't be afraid to experiment!

No, you keep the juwel hood and remove the plastic lid that sits at the back and add the GLO hood in place of that.

The GLO hoods fit perfectly if you sacrifice one of those bendable plastic covers. So get rid of the cover and add a light hood, and it's as easy as that.
