  1. Yes the L02 can also be called Snowball. On Planet Catfish it has the common name for L142 & LDA33 as Snowball and that is what I was sold it as so that is what I'm calling it. They look more like balls than flakes anyway
  2. Your tank is looking awesome. I'm thinking about getting the same lighting kit as you. Question... Do the LEDS get hot enough to need the heatsink? Just thinking I don't want to have to buy it if it doesn't need it.
  3. I was so happy to see it out, it is the 2nd smallest of the 3 I have.
  4. Caught my L142 Snowball Plec out tonight Eating. I don't see them as much as the L128. I was lucky enough to get this 1.30min video... http://youtu.be/qr3Oij7UeL4 They are very territorial and chase any fish away if they get close to it.
  5. Try mice on dusk, When the real mice will be out in the trees overhanging the river looking for food. The big fish are sitting waiting for the food to drop into their mouths.
  6. I'm from Manapouri and I will be there over the Xmas New years Holidays. In Manapouri try walking out on the rocks right at the mouth of the Lower Waiau River where it leaves the lake. I fish there every xmas morning, there is the ocasional big Rainbow swimming through the shallows. And if you go down the river a little further past all the morings there is a creek running in over sand bars that is a good spot too. Lake TeAnau is good if you have a boat or you can fish in the upper Waiau River at Balloon Loop (Between TeAnau & Manapouri) for a nice Sized Brown Trout, They like Mice in this River (wheres the shhhhh smiley when you need it.... oh here it is)... Ive seen a big brown trout cut open with 5 mice in it before. Further Past the Control Gates on the Lower Waiau towards Monowai is good for Rainbows too. I also liked fishing off the coast in Riverton.
  7. I just called them up, I didn't have to pay anything.
  8. Ive had My IPhone and IPod replaced, IPod twice, and all I did was get a damage report done from a technician (In this case Harvey Norman) and I scanned and emailed the report to apple, they then contacted the technician to confirm the report and I got a new Phone. Was quite easy. I just threw the old one out.
  9. Very nice fish, I'm loving the fronts, calvus and brichardi !drool: I sooo want some.
  10. Maybe your water is too Yellow :sml2: With mine it is blue when no co2 and green when co2 is on.
  11. Mine is a very pale shade of blue when I first put it in but easy enough to read.
  12. In my case, until it falls off the side of the tank and fills with water lol. I don't know but I would like to know.
  13. my tank is 2.0m and it went on a trailer behind my car easily. just put down some poly and strop it on with cardboard between the strop and glass. It is also made from 10mm glass. If the tank won't be filled past half way then a patch job should be fine on the crack. otherwise replace the panel if you intend to ever fill it right up.
  14. Klink goed.Ek wil hê dat sommige Afrika-kos om te probeer.. Try this, Its one way to glaze a ham, I use clover honey instead of sugar. ... http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/410965/463380
  15. Honey glazed ham yumm and roast chicken is what we always have. And Pavlova or steamed xmas pudding with custard and cream. its a kind of fruit cake, sometimes soaked in a little brandy.
  16. I had my Frontosas break a thermometer in my tank once and I just left the balls in there because they are too tiny to get out. All fish lived on fine and all the balls eventually disappeared into the gravel. I couldn't even find the tiny shards of broken glass. I wouldn't worry too much since you have cleaned it all up.
  17. Timber framed, ply, fibreglass, paint would be my preferred option for a tank that big but a reinforced concrete block tank would be even better.
  18. Where do you buy your mesh from? I want to try it but flatter circles.
  19. It will take a long time to have to replace bio noodles. Just the wool should need changed
  20. I can see this is going to look just as good as the last one. :spop:
  21. Get this So the rubber seal it comes with isn't working? you can buy lengths of rubber to make custom seals, just get the right size to seal it.
  22. If it doesn't have "safe for aquariums" or if it has mold inhibitors then I wouldn't use it.
  23. Sanding it would help but I don't think silicone sticks very well to that kind of plastic anyway. You could also get a rubber grommet to seal up the hole and then silicone the wire through the grommet. The silicone will stick to the grommet better, if everything is clean that is.
  24. Drill a whole in the top and cut the wire to put through. Its easy to rewire. Just solder the wires, stagger joins, heat shrink over the soldered joins. And then heat again shrink over the whole lot. Done. Are you using hot glue to seal everything? Silicon might be easier or maybe a plastic welding glue. It looks like a good Idea what you have done. you just need it airtight and you should have the pump sucking water through.
  25. http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/content.php?sid=2927 this is the page. So I would most likely have to have tannins in my tank water to get the fish looking anything like this possibly. I just like the blue border on the orange with the stripes. they are very nice fish.
