  1. I have purchased 20 Tropheus fry - I will be having them in there own tank. I have raised and breed many cichlids but new to these. Can you skilled people who own these awesome fish help me out by letting me know what names and brands of food you use to keep these fish fit and healthy.????? I dont want them struck with bloat. I have had a few brands recommended but they are now not avaliable in New Zealand.
  2. Hi there. I too have my email through Ihug- now sold to Vodafone. I had a wireless router and when rang to get the tecno's to help me out they said my router was too old (approx 5 years old) to fix, they sent me a new one and things are just ticking along nicely. Fingers crossed. I wonder if its the old settings, not 100% right with the new systerm. If not happy with them and you have a few hours to get through to a person :evil: keep pestering them until you get the service we used to have. Good luck. I was out for 3 weeks,I was having sever withdrawls.

  8. Welcome to the forum. Gee you were very luckly with your jumping fish. Lids are great to keep your fish in also keep the temputures stable in your tank.. they can even leave through a small gap. had a silver shark escape out of very small space, but was stiff when i found it. :oops:

Your help and input with people have helped so many turtles enjoy a better life. You are a great lady. Thanks for Aqua (my turtle from you) she is a hard case.

  12. We are very dry in South Island. My paddocks have no new growth and wont get any now. have been feeding out for months. Lack of rain real bad but now we all have to fight these huge dairy conversions that water their land 24hrs day. lets hope it changes soon.

    Welcome to the forums Dan. :bounce: :bounce: I reckon do a drive around all the fish shops in CHCH, and check out the net before you decide, as many great looking fish around. When your made up you mind then google them to see the requirments of the fish. Very exciting setting up any new tank. Looking forward to seeing what you decide on.

    Nice looking fish. Just wondered if you have heard that angels can give discus hole in the head.? saw one in your firsy photo. not 100% sure but maybe our discus knowlegable people help us out with this. Love the rose red one great colour and body shape.

  17. Carly I was moving wood from a very old shed in CHCH 4 years ago when a katapo spider bit me. (didnt know at the time, until test was done at hospital. I got very ill) I have a half inch hole in my right arm very nasty scar from it. So supose he didnt like me moving his home. so sorry Livingart I dont share your love for spiders now. :lol:

  20. So sorry to hear what has happened adoge. :oops: As has been said before CHCH has had two since Christmas, (break ins). Due to this reason I make people stand at door no entry to house for fish purchased. Sorry state but you never know who you can trust these days. Its so sad because many are in the new stages of fish keeping and viewing others tanks gives ideas.

  22. Does any one know of where I can get a couple of tanks repaired in CHCH that wont cost an arm and leg but do a good job. ? I have the glass and glue. thanks
  23. I have a male Skippy and its same colour as Bulldogs. I noticed the colour got redder as the fish got older. approx - 1 year now. How old is yours? cool looking fish.
