  11. Thank you both for that information. Was so chuffed to see the eggs. I did notice my female trying to get out of the tank too. Also off her food for a couple of days too. I think maybe Alan I purchased the boys off you here in CHCH a while ago. The female is 21 and was rescued from the SPCA so I am very happy she is happy here wanting to breed for me. Cheers
  12. Came home from holiday and found a few egg shells in bottom of my turtle tank. One whole, others broken. I have put the one in a guppy breeding container until I know what to do with it. I have a turtles in a tank and did not think they would just breed when there was no dirt or sand for her to lay her eggs in. Please help. Probally to late for this one but can any one help me on a set up so my girl has a suitable place to lay maybe another batch. Would like a few babies. LOL. Thanks

Love the colour of your new discus.I had little ones growing out and found I was tied to many water changes but since getting rid of those and purchased some bigger ones.I have cut the water changes down to one a week and they are thriving hopeing they are not far from pairing up.Enjoy. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

  15. I had never seen a large one until I saw evil elmos. Big RED. The silver ones i have seen were all small. I am pleased you shared your pictures because now I have to buy one, what awesome looking fish. might even be able to get my husband interested with one of these :lol: :lol:

  17. I got mine from Alex too. Mine didnt colour up straight away but now is showing the start of colour in the male. Some take longer to colour up than others. Mine are in will very mixed size fish with no aggression.

  19. Are they a cone shape? If they are they are trumpet snails. They are a pain to get rid of. I got some in one tank and had to boil the shingle to get rid of them. As had no loaches. The red and brown ramshorn can all be removed very easy.

    I purchased some early this year. They grow very quickly and are a very rewarding fish to enjoy. The monkey grin on my picture is my grin since getting them. :lol: Some people think they are a expensive fish but I think well worth the money. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
