I've never had any trouble with the health of either kinds (and to be honest my tank isn't as clean as I would like it to be). I believe them to be a very hardy fish although I would of expected the Panda's to be the same way. I had my peppered cory's shipped overnight from Christchurch to Palmerston North and they were absolutely fine, I drove down from Tauranga with the Sterbai and 2 of them died but they were already very sad looking when I picked them up (I think it was a lack of oxygen). I think the objective is just to keep them happy - They loved it when I changed from gravel to sand, and when I put more air stones in. As long as you have a clean, well aerated tank they should be fine.

Ok thanks - give me text when your all set up and I'll let you know if I still have them. I'm happy to drive down towards you a bit on a Saturday or Sunday if that will make it easier for you. To be honest they don't all stay together in my tank, there's usually a group of 5 or 6 who hang out with my Oscar and the rest are in 2's or 3's around the tank but the Bronze and Green do mix in with the others most of the time. They would probably be best with their own colour though - these 2 I rescued from a closing pet shop, they were the only 2 fish they had left.

I have a group of Sterbai and Peppered I like the Sterbai's colours better but my peppered Cory's are a lot more active than the Sterbai - possibly because the Peppered are roughly a year older and larger. My Peppered are approx 3.5 years old, 6cm and quite round! See pic

The Jack seems a lot happier now, not eating yet but he's swimming around like normal and has finally closed his mouth! I've never seen any of the big fish show any interest in the Cory's - everyone has always gotten along great for the last 3 years but I definitely don't want this to happen again. I've got 8 Sterbai, 1 Green, 1 Bronze and 4 Peppered Cory's. I've put up another post listing the Cory's for sale. I wouldn't like to ship them sorry.

Hi I have 8 Sterbai, 1 Green and 1 Bronze Cory Cat's for sale. I am after $12 each so a total of $120. I don't want to split them up unless you just want the bronze or green but you MUST have a group already of at least 4. Pick up is in Palmerston North, I am not comfortable shipping them. These guys are awesome, they don't hide away and are so entertaining to watch. They swim right to the surface occasionally and even swim straight into my Oscar and headbutt him. They have laid eggs a few times (none have hatched as the eggs get eaten first) but the people I got the Sterbai's off said they had bred heaps of times. I am only selling because my Jack Dempsey decided to try and eat one, and it got stuck in his mouth. Picture is off the net, but they look exactly the same. Any questions just ask

Well I got it out of his mouth, I just held him and used tweezers to pull the Cory out. The fins were really stuck in there and now the jacks sulking at the bottom of the tank. I hope he will recover. I've got 15 corys, but maybe it is time to rehome them. I've also got an Oscar, a black ghost knife, arowana, severum and a pleco. I've had them all together for 3 years and this is the first incident I've had.

Please help, my 30cm jack Dempsey has a 3cm Cory stuck in his mouth. I caught him and tried to pull it out but it's stuck! I have no idea what else to do. I don't know how long it's been in there but my partner thinks it's been over 4hours.

Hi, I have a breeding pair of brown Bristlenose pleco for sale, they have given me 100's of babies. Male has huge bristles going down his sides and would be approx. 15cm long, female has no bristles at all and would be approx 10cm long. Photo to come, located in Palmerston North. I have a silver arowana approx 40cm long who is getting too large for my tank I don't want to see him go, but he deserves a bigger home. He is currently in a 600L tank. If anyone is interested in buying him, and has a bigger tank to house him in let me know, I am located in Palmerston North.

Hahaha that's so cute! Mine just dig down to the top of their noses, not all the way in like that, I'm sure it fine though

Have you thought about completely removing all of the infected substrate, cleaning the tank and replacing with new stuff? I've just changed out my 400L tanks substrate and it only took 1 day to do.
