That's about average, even inexpensive for the fancier plecos. Unless you want the boring, dime a dozen fish every other person has you're going to have to pay a little bit more.

I'm hoping the brain does well. I haven't had any luck with brains. Errr...I mean brain corals. I'm probably going to have to move the hammer too, it's getting a too much current where it is, I think.

2 seios here working flawlessley, only problem I've had is one of them sucked in a finger on my finger leather somehow and stretched it about 6", looked like bubble gum. Screw yo' Streams, Yo streams is gahbahge!

Yeah, Pak&Sav usually has sheep heart. Close enough, just smaller and more fiddly.

Throw bird grit in a bag in the filter. Cheap and effective.

I'm finding I have the same problem and all I have is two M820s and my return pump! I have both Seios aimed at a rock in the middle of the tank next to my anemone and everything else scattered in sheltered spots.

18" bulbs are pretty common. I have one of those dual arcadia? light units that takes 18" T8s. They're 15 watts each. Not much you can do but add more bulbs or deal with it.

I use http://www.niwa.co.nz/services/tides/ Niwa's forecaster also gives you approximate tide height. Porirua harbor is the closest to Pukerua bay.

Definitely the concrete waterfall doing it. You probably haven't gotten all the spots the water contacts the concrete covered with pond paint, I think.

Got it today. I'll give the tank a dose tonight. I'm undecided whether I want to go with half doses every week or full doses. My tank isn't particularly packed. Oh and, $90 for a 2" cube?!? Hehe.

I generally put lids on my tank over winter. The extra cooling isn't needed then and it cuts down evaporation heaps so I don't get condensation on literally everything in the house.

There's something seriously faulty with yours if it can't pump that deep.

I have one of those, works fine. They don't seem to deal with a lot of backpressure well, but that's not a big problem. It's quieter than the diaphragm pump it was replacing and flows a couple times as much, if it's not dealing with a lot of backpressure.

Haha, Yeah, Last time I went in there while I was looking at stuff the first guy bought a pack of party pills and a bottle of "Marijuana odor remover", the second guy bought a "Flower vase" aka bong.
