  1. This must be a joke, otherwise why would you have put it in the Fun forum?
  2. There are sometimes two round things in magnetic ballast fluoros. One is the starter, the other is a capacitor. In the one on one of my tanks for example it's labeled "Capacitor metallised polypropylene 15 uF" The entire unit is frequently described as the ballast and includes a transformer that drops the voltage down to the 100 something volts fluoros run on. And it will probably be humming at 50 hertz.
  3. New ballasts are cheap, you should be able to remove it and run to an electrical supply shop and get a replacement for like $10-15.
  4. So, basically people should beware that clown loaches are idiots?
  5. An oral contract is generally just as legally binding as a written contract. It can be difficult to prove and enforce, but it is a legal contract.
  6. *Puts outfit back in the closet*
  7. Dressing up like this might do it...
  8. Hutt Pets is the only one in Wellington likely to have anything but normal run of the mill fish.
  9. 63 WPM, 92% accuracy. Pretty poor accuracy.
  10. Buckets? Who uses buckets?
  11. I'm not convinced gill coverings, or lack of it, is going to significantly matter to an organ that is fully immersed in a continuous flow of water?
  12. Did no more nails not work last time? I think I'd try some CA.

Yeah, landscaping places are good. There's also this really big shop called "Outside." They have excellent prices and seperate aisles for nice rounded river rocks, another things like schist and generally a great selection of other types of rocks scattered around the store.
  14. Which dwarf puffers? There are freshwater dwarf puffers, there are brackish dwarf puffers and there are full marine dwarf puffers.
  15. We haven't been given notice. I have heard rumors that we're supposed to be switched over in less than a week, though. We will see what happens...
  16. Haha, Yeah, if I was to go with the Pro plan so I don't get throttled to dialup last month's charge for me would have roughly $1923 instead of $50.
  17. Interesting, Youtube is perfectly fine for me. And for P2P...Well, I downloaded 15 ep*Cough*files last night. I'd hate to be stuck on a tiny 40 gigs limit.
  18. Heh, I'm still on Go Large...Full speed, unlimited all the time.
  19. Nope, I haven't found any of my severums, green or gold, to be particularly aggressive towards each other. The occasional chase, but that's it. Actually, I haven't found them to be aggressive towards anything.
  20. Sooo....Nothing that a 6 year old kid doesn't know about already should be allowed on because he might ask for an explanation?
  21. If he was my kid he'd know better and get a good thumping for that. It's a Clownfish, not a nemo.
  22. Give the powerhead a smack or stick something down the outlet or inlet and give the impeller a flick. A lot of small powerheads are really horrible at starting up because they don't have the torque to get moving if they're not perfectly positioned.
  23. Yes! Now would we call it UFC(Ultimate Fish Championship) or WCW(Water Championship Wrestling)? Glass boxing?
  24. Brand recognition is god in marketing. Then toilet paper and similar should also not be allowed until after 8pm, in fact, ban all hygiene related ads from prime time TV. People that want educated children not totally oblivious about the basics of human anatomy?

I attached his fins to jumper cables and then connected them to my car battery. At least that's what he risks if he starts attacking my goldspot or redspot plecos. At the moment he and the single giant danio are the only non bottom feeders in the tank.
