yes I know what you mean and thought they are extremely loud also. apparently its the new design to have all those bubbles coming out. if you look on the filter box where the outlet is there is a slit in the actual box itself. if you can manage to block that up some how I would imagine the air supply wouldnt come through. but if you have any problems with the pump from doing that it may not be under warranty from modifying it. hope this helps

when I had my royals all they would want to eat is bloodworm. all day they would be stuck on the back off the tank. after night time when the lights came on they would be at the front of the tank and swim very quickly towards the back

lol funny you should say this. many a time I have been grumpy at something and I try to clean my canister filters, swearing is generally heard through out the neighbourhood, and it takes twice as long to get them going. However I do have a short fuse and get upset easily lol

I know you are not suppose to but I have housed 4 males all mature in a 220litre heavily planted tank they sorted terrotories and lived happily for a few weeks until I sold them. but the tank had lots of plant I think that was the main thing

aww nice fish! lol I was feeding him courgette and that seemed to colour him up best. I think he also was brightly coloured coz he was in the dense plantedtank and could hide easily.also is there driftwood in his tank?
