digging up an old thread but what tubes did you use and where did you get them from? I need t8 tubes at mitre 10 they had cool white and cool daylight or something which is better for plants and why? alan can you help :oops: thanks

good luck on breeding! I thought these species reach just over 30cm? Also sexing is difficult unless you can tell by the ventral fin or something. I was watching that auction another ting I noticed is that the Big spot one they were coming into the country as QUEEN GOLD NUGGET? and the other just normal gold nugget? dont know to much about this species but good luck and enjoy them

I have had them in a pond all year round breeding aswell as inside tropical tank. the colours were a lot more vibrant outside however andthe males had more space to do their thing. other than that I wouldnt recoomend putting two males together in a smallish tank else they tend to fight..............a lot

8) its starting to slow down now but there is quite a bit there

probably more than a foot in diameter. dont think it was any taller than 3-3 1/2 feet tall

I agree with ira. Have heard that Uaru dont disturb plants but could be wrong. Thats similar shape etc. I know a majority of the time severums are peaceful but hve seen them be quite aggro also.

mean I just got some of that from a guy yesterday. went and spoke to someone who use to have madagascar lace plant aswell grew well he knows someone trying to cultivate it atm there are also more rare plants in NZ than I knew of cant wait to get my hands on them

I thought sparkling and croaking were 2 completly different fish when keeping coulours and size were different??
