Hmm so there has been foul play (fowl play?) in the aviary. The canary killed both the zebra finches. I did see him pecking the heck out of them a few times and one morning there they were, pecked to death. And then, the canary died, not sure whether it was injuries, shame or the cold weather, and then I let the goldfinch go cos he was attracting lots of other goldfinches to the garden. I hope he's ok. Anyway now I have two lovely budgies and they are very happy and well and not showing any signs of killing eachother or anyone else but I do have a hole in my finger from when I had the audacity to try and feed them today.

I took some photos tonight of my cichlids. I am not great with the photos but here they are. If anyone can identify peacock 1 and peacock 2 that would be great as I can't remember which is which to save myself. Dragons Blood Dragons Blood Peacock1? Peacock 2? Fryeri

I have some killies in my community tank, not sure if they are meant to go in there but they are fine. But I did have a male Aphyosemion striatum and he completely chomped up my siamese fighter within minutes. Still love him though, that cute little smile.

I have had my house and contents insurance since we bought our house 11 years ago, and have never made a claim, but I dropped my camera on honeymoon and it broke. It was a second hand camera I bought from a friend for $200. Then I bought a $100 replacement camera while on holiday from a supermarket in France and my husband dropped it (yes we do seem like complete losers but we really aren't! ) and both cameras were broken. When we returned someone suggested we claim though our travel insurance. We had to send them both cameras and they sent us a $1200 Camera House voucher. Super sweet!

Nah it's not as if I deliberately wrecked the carpet, and I don't think it's 'wrong' to hope they can't get the stain out. And if they can get it out I have clean carpet again and if they can't, the policy is replacement, it's all above board!

:lol: :lol: :lol: I have actually phoned the insurance company and they are sending Jae up to clean it. Now I just hope they don't get it out. I managed to drop the bottle in the doorway and it spilt into my son's room and the hallway so here's hoping they fail and then replace the carpet. We were planning to recarpet in a year or two anyway.

Oh don't get me wrong, but I am glad it most likely won't come out of the carpet I don't want to make an insurance claim unless I can be fairly sure that they won't be able to clean it out and will have to replace it! Otherwise I would rather just spend the $100 or so it will cost to clean it, on a new rug.

I have spilled some of that blue white spot cure on the carpet. What a dummy. I haven't attempted to clean it because I thought I would just make it worse. I am wanting to know whether anyone has had any luck getting this out of carpet, or had any carpet cleaning type person up to get it out.

I have white spot in my community tank (yes bought some fish in the 2 for 1 sale) and I use that blue stuff to clear it up but I always manage to drip it on something (carpet, dresser etc) and it is impossible to get out. It even takes a couple of days to wash of your hands. Can I stop using it and use something else?

I phoned a pet store this week who recently had a good weekend sale on and said I had two crown tails and did they have a double betta display. The assistant (who was described as the 'fish expert') said 'sorry I don't understand, better than what?' :lol: :lol: :lol:
