  1. This isn't a good photo but these birds frequent out garden. I was wondering if they are Eastern Rosella or something else?
  2. I just had to share this clip but it isn't related to all the weirdy ones in the other thread so thought I'd put it separate. It's just an ad but I just love it.
  3. That is just fantastic. It is just amazing to think about all the changes that have occured during her lifetime. My great aunt is 106 and I could listen to her talk forever, she has so much wisdom, and puts her longevity almost entirely down to staying at Sunday School.
  4. So did I! I think they are a great national bird!
  5. Sweet thanks for that, I will persevere with PP then
  6. I bought this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =160250364 but still had no contact from PP/OA and getting sick of waiting (yeah I am impatient to get it cos I could have just bought one on sale at HFF last weekend) so am thinking of buying this... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 443030.htm My tank lighting is a little blah. I currently have one white tube only but everything looks pretty yellowish and yuck. I am looking for a brilliant white light. Any advice? Are the lights about the same? Mods: I am assuming it is ok to post TM links here because I am asking for advice on the suitability of these items?
  7. I reckon the kiwi is a good choice for a national bird, because it is very distinct shape. When you see a silhouette of a kiwi there is no question what it is. There is no argument that tui and kokako are more beautiful birds but they have no distinct shape to them, sure they have obvious markings, wattle, etc which distinguish them from other birds, but no other bird is the same shape as a kiwi. So you can draw a stylised kiwi in one swift movement and everyone knows what it is.
  8. That's fair enough although they certainly shouldn't have listings on Trade Me if that is the case. They should be waiting until they are organised.
  9. Oh ok, when I phoned the number on Petplanet.co.nz the answer machine says Origin Aquatics. v. confusing.
  10. I have bought a light from petplanet (tm user name) over a week ago and I still haven't heard anything, no bank details, etc. Has anyone else bought from these people? They have good feedback, but I thought I'd have the item by now, not be still waiting to hear from them!
  11. Fruit salad... Yeah I always have either wiggles or spongebob or something in my head. I am just happy as long as it isn't the theme for Jojo's Circus or Higglytown Heroes (is pizza guy really a hero??? I mean, really??).
  12. It's time to raise the curtain on The Muppet Show tonight!
  13. If I were getting a dog (which I'm not) I would call her Aoife, it is an Irish name, pronounced Eefa, rhymes with Fifa. I just like it.
  14. They're called Weebles, do a search on that word on Trade Me and there are a few.
  15. My husband and I just celebrated 10 years together and I reckon I have the best husband anyone could hope for. And I also feel quite smug to have outlasted my parents' and my father's subsequent marriages
  16. Ooooh I love Spongebob, Sandy is my hero. A tough exterior, a can do attitude and a heart of gold. *sigh*
  17. Hell yeah don't we live in the most awesome country!! What blessed people we are!
  18. Ooh does that mean the prices will only be slightly more than everywhere else?
  19. Hmm beginning to think Lego is a better option...
  20. My son turns 4 next week too. I am totally in denial.
