  1. Awesome Antwan. Are you using the Stokers Chelated Iron? Did you test your Iron levels and if so what ppm do you aim to keep your tank at. I found this dose chart on the net. 7g in 1000ml water - dose 5ml/10gal for .1ppm 14g in 1000ml water - dose 5ml/10gal for .2ppm 21.5g in 1000ml water - dose 5ml/10gal for .3ppm 27.5g in 1000ml water - dose 5ml/10gal for .4ppm 34.5g in 1000ml water - dose 5ml/10gal for .5ppm
  2. I am planning to start dosing some of my planted tanks with Chelated Iron in order to increase soluble Iron levels without using expensive products like Flourish Iron. I was just wondering if anyone else has used Chelated Iron, what the results were and what dose rates you used ?

  5. Sagittaria Subulata is more commonly known as Dwarf Sag As Alan has stated, this could be any of a few different species but is likely to be Echinodorus Quadricostatus Two prime examples why its best to use the Latin names

  7. I do this with a 103F with the co2 source from a pressurised system via a bubble counter. I get great co2 diffusion and great results.

  9. The main source of heat in my room comes from lighting all the planted tanks (approx 800w)
  10. My fishroom sits between 27-27.5 unheated tanks at floor level sit around 25 and unheated tanks at eye level sit around 26.5

  17. I would think that the first step would be to bypass the bubble counter to test that the diffuser is not blocked. My guess is that it is blocked and that the ceramic disk needs a soak in bleach.
  18. Have you got a large air pump or small compressor that would allow you to aerate the 40,000L ? It would definitely speed up the dissipation process

  21. There are two suppliers of salmon pellets that I use. Reef13 who is a member here and Daline on TM
  22. The staple diet is salmon pallets with the occasional treat of courgette, shrimp pellets and mussel meat
  23. I have found Tupperware containers to be as useless as wheelbarrows, I only just escaped certain death to capture these photo's
  24. I took this pic about a year ago. From memory he was 27-28cm then.
