  1. I see no problem with that at all If the landlord is selling, thats his right of course but most people buying would want steady tenants if it was for rental and if purchasing for them selves, you would normally get at least a month for looking around for another place so I also wouldnt worry about that. I think there may well be a case to phone the realestate and mention your concern and offer to show someone else through or send a photo. I honestly think that there is no problem at all from showing us your photo
  2. Its possible that it could be an insurance matter? I can understand it if it is as a tenant we had use to stack boxes of stuff out side his back door. It was not viewable from the front of the place but his neibours found it messy and a possible fire hazard. If your garage is enclosed and locked away I doupt that it would be a neibour complaining and it shouldnt be a hazard
  3. Theres no problem, I just thought that if they were coming from Auckland, it would have been easy to send some down with the others
  4. No problems... I have some spare odd killis at the moment
  5. are they from Auckland?
  6. what are you getting Imsweet?
  7. also the same as they get fed mate... so when are you coming around
  8. 1st photo is not the best but we all know that they are white worms OK a box of white worms (thanks Alan) Take a scoop and place on a plate. In this case I chose a spoonfull that was full of dirt but when its going well, you get almost no dirt at all hold under a light for a minute or so... not to close as fish dont like BBQ worms. Place the plate in light and the worms will all strugle to get away from the light and leave the dirt on top. This can be scraped off with ease or even blown away leaving a ball of worms almost clean. Easy
  9. no losses and another power cut in the middle of the night... 4.5 hours for the first one and I dont know how long for the second What concerned me was that I had just finnished my water changes at about 4 and the power went off at 4.15. The last 2 tanks got 40% changes as I didnt do them last week and so they had just had reasonable cold water added
  10. in general tube lighting dosnt produce much heat but a heat source that is localised can cause breakages.
  11. my guess as well Alan sound like snails
  12. Powers back on Im sure all will be fine although the same cant be said for the boyracer as he was taken to hospital... it makes you wonder how he can totally distroy a lamp-post on a straight road. Not a very long road.. possible 3 or 400 meters long and the lamp-post is half way
  13. still no power and laptop almost dead 5 hours thanks to a boy fracer that hit a lamp-post heat pads taped to the front of thje tanks and Im off to bed
  14. small world eh we had a power cut that started an hour ago
  15. I have never had a planed power cut that has lasted more than 2/3rds the predicted time frame THE GLASS IS HALF FULL!!!
  16. do you really think it will be a problem? often the outages are for far less.
  17. Get some white cloud mountian minnows... they love it

Tanks down the botton teand not to get the same care and treatment. Water changes are sometimes missed or maybe not quite as bigger change. I would there for recomend that you put the larger tanks higher and the small tanks down low as that way, you can simply slide out the tank to do water changes and clean ups. If they are heated with heaters, it would be a bit harder of course. I will send some photos to you this weekend if thats OK
  21. the same with a shop front glass... the difference inbetween the front surface and the back surface of the glass is very small but hands up who hasnt seen paint comming off a shop front I dont really care if you paint or not... I simply tried to back up the advice that Bunnings gave and my experiance in glass that is now 41 years. Do you need that paint to last for 5,10 or 25 years? I dont know and to be honest dont really care but if the paint lifts, at least you will know why. Simple. Each member knows what they want and expect. Thats all

Wok That is even too much (far too much) for even my mind to cope with ... I feel sorry for all those that have met me and now have to inagin me in a flower girl outfit. I must say the Erlings system is a really great system although I think he needs another room There is a seperate room that you enter before entering the fish room and this is used to store all sorts of things, really handy
  23. takes me ages to slowly work through the system and get the right sizes but I will have a look and take some photos and see how we go
  24. I agree that it moves a lot less but it depends on the room temperature as well. Have a look at shop windows and you will often see the paint falling of. Time frame... impossible to tell as it is depending on room temps as well
  25. a lot better Wok... thanks Zev Glayva is great as well Zev... you should know that the more any guy drinks in one sitting, the better he thinks he looks   Must admit that I do enjoy a drop of that but I did resist in the end as I truned the computer off But be warned, Im still getting those vodo dolls and large needles
