  1. I live in a flat, we probably only check our mail.. hmm.. weekly?
  2. Snails spawning? SOMETHING spawning anyways
  3. haven't moved at all , going to do a rearrange of the tank (wanting to get my sump lit, and fit in my rowaphos reactor, also fit a bubble trap into the sump, so thats currently draining, and then be doing a big w/c over the weekend, and syphon off all the cyano, and increase flow, it'll give me a chance to examine the naso more closely, also find space to put back my 2foot tank as a QT tank, and hopefully also getting a UPS for the return. This weekend will be surgery time.. whee. And the naso won't try and cut me, hes a good boy...............
  4. ooo, a Smart Drive, hehe. Ours has stopped emptyng water twice, on one occasion it was the tattered remains of a sock, on the next occasion it was an old 5c piece that had just fitted in to the outlet.. grrr
  5. I'll leave it for a few days (it'll take that long for the fish to sleep somewhere he is easy to grab...), see if they move, if he starts to deteriote or get more i'll QT him.
  6. Excuse the cyano, from using cheap crappy food Anenome sulking due to female clown harassing it
  7. Couple of minutes. Fish is eatling like a pig, goes nuts at feeding time, and is usually the first fish awake in the mornings parading against the glass going FEED ME!!!
  8. From what I've read. Oscars make good parents. If you remove the rock, the parents may try and kill each other, each blaming the other for eating the eggs. I'd suggest leaving them there, and then disposing of oscar babies when the parents decide they want to get rid of them, it'll make it easier on them
  9. Any ideas on what those lumps are on on the side of the Naso (Sorry about pic size mods, but.. smaller and it gets grainy )
  10. What, rather than giving staff warnings you feed them to the Pacu? lol
  11. Thats your option mate, get a swimming pool heater. Hot Water heat Pump
  12. That last picture makes my eyes burn
  13. Sumps ARE quiet. You need to make sure that the overflow is as close to the top of the weir as possible (its where most of the noise comes from), using the tap, cut down the amount of air slightly and that will reduce the noise. With the water coming from the overflow, you ideally want to have a compartment that can hold no more than about 35-40L for the pump, just get a cheap UPS so that if the power does cut the pump will keep running for at least a while
  14. DNA testing on a lizard gannet? I have a slight feeling that getting that done may cost as much as a breeding pair
  15. prfft, this is in the wrong section, should be in "Saltwater" Shoal of clown loaches Don't put in the dollars and have a planted tank, giant danios should be able to run OK, silver sharks, same deal. Get either BGK or clown, nice eel , from what i've read Jardini can be outright nasty. DATS. (don't destroy plants )
  16. What kind of urchin? I have a little green urchin
  17. If I could get enough LED lighting at the right wavelength for my 4foot marine tank, in such a way that I would only need to run the one light, (and have less power usage than my current setup, and less heat), i'd be happy to pay around 2k. But, it would need to be the ultimate solution. (i'm on a tight budget), and then i'd need to save up for quite a while;...
