  1. haven't had issues there repto. as long as ther is good circulation- mesh hood etc
  2. timer. they are ony active when the lights are on... 40w incandescent are fine
  3. knife? what kinda knives? they are FW?
  4. I think so. You are better getting it off another reefer as the minimum size you can get direct is 25kg bags. Cookieextreme usually sells it, PM Him
  5. I'm sure people can find it if they are intersted, simply by searching the name 'Layton' on stuff.co.nz...
  6. looking good. some nice photos there too
  7. what did the rose attack the stream this time?
  8. yes should be fine for a while... I am not sure how long but I have had 8month old stock in my freezer before and its been all good when I have came to use it. I think it would depend on how long its been in the shop freezer too
  9. with regards to the course, how many hours does it involve? I am thinking of doing it next year. I don't really Need to do it because i already have work experience with zoo's and aquariums etc, but I think it will be interesting to do...
  10. try here: http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/bre ... yfish.html but to answer your questions quickly -yes would be fine with kribs -yes eats off surface -yes will eat fry -no it won't only eat live food, but some don't eat flake etc.... will eat frozen bloodworms etc though -doesnt need huge tank- I would say 3 ft when filly grown- otherwise 2 ft is fine (standard 2x1x1)
  11. then what is it called if you have a salinity 1.010-1.025? It is called brackish.... I have seen people with brackish fish in tanks with a SG of 1.025, I have seen the same fish in a salinity of 1.010 and the same in 1.015... If the Salinity of the tank is high end brackish The clown will do well.
  12. its a silly question isn't it? What constitutes brackish- Not fully marine and not fully freshwater. Many people run Fish only tanks with a specific gravity of 1.021. Is that brackish? It would be a better idea to state the salinity of the water than just saying its "brackish"
  13. WHY NOT USE THE SPACE UNDERNEATH TO FIT 2 MORE SMALL TANKS
