  1. I dunno... I know they aren't American ones, and I'm sure the gisborne and Auckland ones taste much the same
  2. you can come catch some here... they live in my compost bin..
  3. definatly. I have only 330watts over my 3 ft and My SPS and clam couldn't be happier
  4. quite (if you had all you're maybes plus definates). I would say everything minus the royal gramma would be sweet. The reason why I wouldn't include a royal gramma is that it is the most aggro on your list and in a smaller tank like yours, it would be a disaster if he took a disliking to your firefish.
  5. definatley... remember, the solution to pollution is dilution... Most expensive electrical cost is lighting remember, and you won't need that (cept if you have a fuge/ mangrove area)
  6. you'll need one which can fit onto a pipe so that will rule out Tunze, seio etc... I would say the Eden ones are good for a river tank as they rotate, but they are not very powerful, the hagen aquaclears or maxijet will deliver more flow ...nothing comparable to seios etc...
  7. I have an expensive mag-float on my reef and it works well... I find those aqua-one cheap magnets don't clean very well... IMO
  8. and how come these never came into NZ?
  9. The Yellow Glow danios are still for sale at Hollywood Fish farm :-? , Have Maf turned a blind eye to the yellow ones or are they different from the red ones?

  12. what lights do you have. most forground plants like glosso and hairgrass require high lighting. Dwarf Sag should work though (Sagittaria subulata). other easy plants are Ambulia, Anubias nana and Java fern
  13. I'll send you some bristleworms or something if you want them... thats all thats in my sand... they help clean the tank. other people have sand-sifting stars and things- I don't know if anyone in NZ has one though...

is your tank empty at the moment? Or full of salvewater. if its empty just tip it on its side to clean the hard to reach areas
