backswimmers are cooler- you can feed them sandflys :bounce:

dude no point running halides on a planted 38L, even if only 70Watts... Any plants you could possibly want will all survive under T5's or PC's and you don't have to worry bout water temp getting out of control on such a small tank in summer...

think you guys might be interested in the new stuff at Hollywood Fish farm (Was just in there). Fishwise there was some interesting stuff including -A longnosed hawkfish! -A couple of Cole Tangs -A couple of Potters Angels as well as the regular stuff Inverts included baby cleaner shrimp, and there are lots of brains, trachys, lobos and some XL Torches

thanks. I keep taking it out and it is growing back at a slower rate so I'm hoping It will go away fully sometime soon! (here's to hoping!) Yeah I am still getting good growth- some of my browns are coloring up well too so thats good!

I can't believe it could look like that without you realising. I cracked mine the usual way- cold water on a hot heater and it made a massive bang, heaps of sparks, lots of smoke and blew the fuse. If the heater was still on without glass you shoulda known bout it :lol:

excuse the algae- I'm starting to get it under my control! damned bryopsis :-? Some of the corals are a bit unhappy as I have been fidgeting with their positions in the tank when cleaning the rocks but should come right again soon!

someone has been to the museum I'll show you how to make a grass holder so the locusts don't eat all the grass then fall in the water if you come around sometime. or I'll post a pic on here

I believe C. taxifola is now banned in N.Z. I had C. mexicana in my tank but it was taking over so I ripped it all out. i am about to build a refugium with an attached Calvo bucket, so am interested in this thread to find good Caulerpa species etc to use in the Fuge...
