  1. I use phosguard or Rowaphos. Rowaphos is a bit more pricey but it is Iron based rather than aluminium based and apparently more effective. either way i don't think it matters, you pay more for rowaphos as it will absorb more phosphate and so it will last longer, works out about the same in the end

  3. what i meant is that if you think some have it, they will all have it, regardless of wether you can see they have it or not... if you get what i mean

  10. never heard of versamax before, but I have has a few aquaclear filters. they are very good quality IMO and I have never had a problem with mine
  11. A tropical species of Eelgrass, I can't find any links to it.... it might be in Bornemans book, i'm not sure... But Carlson has an eelgrass aquarium in which he keeps cataphyllias

    after re-setting up my reef in January, my hair Algae is just starting to subside now which is good. funny thing is that the only thing with hair algae growing on it are my Astrea snails shells :lol:
  14. i think from what i have read is that they only put the fish in the bags in the morning before the market starts to bring them in and they stay in the bags during the market until it ends at about midday or when they are sold
  15. there are three fro memory. I have book one. very nice if you want aquascaping ideas. nice big pis. There isn't much writing though... hut if you like big glossy pictures they are all good!
  16. cookie has them in his tank too. They are called Cushion stars... don't go near spiny reef stars though..
  17. I have used Erythromycin on a reef before (not mine), got rid if the Cyano but also got rid of the coralline- no visible damage to corals though...
  18. I play a bit but only one ever couple of weeks. Usually i just play Battlefield 2
  19. I cut mine vertically rather than horisontally, otherwist they look silly when they have a big stalk and a smallish head
  20. first pic is of a caulerpa species- get that out, and those anemone things in front of it are called aptasia that are baddies too. The one in the second pic is a tube worm- they are good
  21. I have the same batch and haven't had any problems
