  1. erothomycin (sp.) Will take care of it. I think its prescription only though. correct me if Im wrong. Better to figure the cause of the cyano though, rather than just try `and get rid of it...
  2. Hollywood Fish shop. A shop in Auckland. (well 2 shops actually, HFS Mt Roskill, and HFS Albany)
  3. you should be using recyclable cloth bags. stop complaining!
  4. they look cool though. I might sell my whle tank and then i will have enough to buy one, only problem is i wont have a tank to hang it over then
  5. I thought you were one of those people who objected to people getting fish that they would be able to maintain once they reach full size mystic  . When little puffy the puffer gets up to 60cm long you are gonna need one hell of a big tank for him!
  6. Porcupine fish Allomycterus jaculiferus. There are plenty around Auckland.
  7. psh, you are riding a giant evil...go the taiwanese bikes!
  8. I havent heard but that would be really cool. Crocs are one of my faves (along with gorillas and Tigers)!
  9. bro buy that ellsworth frame on trademe. $1000 is a steal and its in Rotorua so easy pick up for you!
  10. Whats your free-ride bike? Looks mint. I am down to 3 bikes myself. Managed to sell my Specialised Road bike for $2000 the other day as I hardly used it anymore as my knees are too stuffed for road racing now. Im not a big fan of giant but your DH looks all good...
  11. who gut loads their flies? I'm not talking bout feeding them sugar, but feeding them Ox Liver or Lamb fry... I am just wondering if that would be better for reptiles if you gut load the flies rather than feeding them straight after they change from maggots. obviously if you are breeding them they will get a feed when you put in the meat to lay on...
  12. yes i meant working with humans, selling or displaying animals
  13. no, its allright, its just some people get a bit bored of heairing- oooh nemo, look he is so cute... (sorry my speech marks dont work) especially people who work with animals!
  14. I think you are getting just a little anthropomorphic now Dantezgirl....
  15. research your fish before you buy them
  16. are they the same toadstools as I gave you a while back? because if they are they have grown nicely. Love the banggais
  17. Im not sure where you are coming from George? Red and Blue are not the sex of the fighters, they their phenotype. So I dont see how you are comparing the colours of fighters to sexes of humans. Surely you can see that . If I was to use your example correctly, I would say that if a female of African decent bred with a male of European decent the offspring would be half-castes, not hermaphrodites. I thought this was taught in primary school?
  18. I used to always have baby snails on the glass before the lights came on in the morning (thousands of them), since I added a baby sixline I dont have any. All my turbos have died of old age now, and I am left with my adult astreas (4 now I think) which havent bred yet.
  19. African rift cichlids eat algae off rocks as the main part of their diet in the wild so that makes sense.
  20. I am not yet fully self sufficient yet as I'm still living with my Parents but I earn enough to get by in the animal husbandry industry, working at the Museum as Live Animals Curator and at Arataki visitor centre maintaining their displays also. In the future, I want to be a field researcher in Congo and Rwanda studying Gorilla behavior and monitoring poaching/ land encroachment etc. (Will hopefully get a 1 year contract next year before studying my Masters in Primatology at Oxford. Id also like to work with Crocs in queensland at some stage in my career (crocs are fascinating creatures), and with Tigers in Bangladesh and India, although my number one focus at the moment is on Primatology.
  21. yep. I had one and liked it
