  1. Very nice Whetu. Id be proud to call that my own. Maybe could you change the filter inlet type?? I have an Aqua One CF1200 filter and the inlet is dark gray. Definately not as as obvious. Might blend in a bit better. HTH
  2. Cryptocoryne Beckettii. More pics in my blog. http://www.supasi.wordpress.com
  3. Glosso is the best ,also hairgrass Although they both require very bright light. They both spread by runners.
  4. Vesicularia dubyana (java) and Vesicularia montagnei(xmas) Ricca , not a moss but can be tied down and looks good. Requires much more light than the above mosses
  5. Got lots of pantyhose do you Vinson, LOL
  6. The Telecom XT ad...... Look at the boat, at the start it has a camera on the rollcage and at the end it doesnt. And what does it prove???? Im sure my phone sends faster pics than a boat. I just never made a point of how far the boat has to go. The network is still below the standard Vodafone has had for ages already. Rant over
  7. I cant help here Barrie, but Id be very keen to know as well Cheers Simon
  8. Exactly how I do it. Never had one leak or damaged plants yet. Indian fern is likely to go mushy due to the cold. Its a fragile plant at the best of times. Thats how it spreads, breaks of and grows another plant.
  9. This is what it looks like when in flower A closer pic of the flower
  10. Who remembers these Or who remember Getty, the watties monster??
  11. Yeah, two moons became a saying at the time. Nothing is as funny as pulling out all the old VHS tapes from when I was young, that I recorded off TV. The ads have come along way since the late eighties. Does anyone remember the old Sweppes ads with the guy dressed up as a lady. Or the bluebird penguins when they were pen drawn.?
  12. I cant stand the Napisan ones or any of the other foreign cleaning ones that are obviously voiced over. So tacky  I agree about the kiwibank ads. Does nothing to make me want to join that bank. Mr cheese , yes please!!!!! AAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH
  13. Another flower spike. According to the supplier label, its Cryptocoryne Beckettii. Just have to wait and see.
  14. Yeah micro worns should be ok for them. Congratulations. Its always cool to find mystery fry.
  15. Whatever you do, dont drain it and fill. NZ has lost most of its wetlands already to development and farming. Wetlands are homes to many native fish, birds, and other aquatic life. You should post up some pics of it as I waould be keen to see the area you are talking about. I manage to spend hours and hours just watching wildlife in wetland areas. Call me a geek if you will, but its what I love to do.
  16. That awesome Amazonian, makes me jealous :-? Be sure to take a camera.

  22. Most rental agencies or landlords dont look upon fish as pets. If only they new about the many spilt buckets etc. I know someone who is a property manager for a rental agency , so when I need a new house I just ring him and he lets me know whats around and whats comming availabe. Ring a rental agency. They normally have lists you can view HTH
  23. There are heaps of plants that would be ok in cold water, they just grow slower. Ludwigia ( i grow it outdoors) Glosso Java moss Potamogeton crispus Val (doesnt like it too cold though) Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae Saururus cernuus HTH
