I am a Scorched Earth Tank.
When I have a mission, it consumes me; I will not be satisfied until the job is done. I have a strong sense of duty, and a strong sense of direction. Changes in the tide don't phase me - I always know which way the wind blows, and I know how to compensate for it. I get on poorly with people like myself.
I have a trio of Palmqvisti trying to do their thing.
A pair of Golden Wonders happily spawning
5 Striped Panchax that I havn't been taking eggs from
Gardneri Gold trio breeding
2 chocolate australes and a male gold still growing up a little.
Have had the Gardneri Albino's split up for a while coz I had so many frys from them all at once I didn't know what to do with them.
Also have 2 albino young and 3 gold young.
Thats All
Hey all,
These killies seem to be getting rather addictive. Seems the more I get, the more I want. Just wondeing though what we have avaliable over here?
especially Simpsonicthys papilliferus and Aphyosemion caudofasciatum?
Cheers all,
Aaron
I have 15 tanks (ranging from a 3 footer to smaller tanks) which each use 1 heater each, different wattages though. 1 external canister filter, 4 hang-on type filters, 2 air pumps and a 3 foot flouro light. Aswell as our day to day stuff our monthly powerbill is around $90. (there is only two of us)
Sort of but not really, That particular fish gets father agressive when "flaring" The gill covers will come right out to about right angles giving the illusion that he's a bigger fish. Healthy happy fighters will hold their fins up most of the time.
Went a bit wild with the camera today... didn't get a chance to take pics of all our fish though because the batteries ran out btw yes I know the glass is scratched....
Seeing Double?
People say you can't have a favourite fish if you keep many. But this is my favourite Guppy

Green Crowntail, wasn't feeling up to it today.
Mr Green definetly wasn't up to it....

all my double tails are red, but I have mutlicoloured crowntails, blues, purples, reds, whites, greenish etc. As I said on another thread I am trying to get black ones also.
The parents aren't pure black, they still have blue and red in the fins, I am trying through selective breeding to get rid of those colours to get just black.
yea, It was my fault for putting her in there and expecting her not to jump out. More frustrated than anything, I had paired up 2 fish that were carrying the melano black gene trying to selectively breed a black fighter but she ate them all. That'll teach me.
Seriously, I am not going to harm my fish in any way, but I had a female fighter in one of those spawning nets overnight in a tank of 3 week old fighter babies, just to give her a bit of space after spawning and planned to return her to her normal tank in the morning. When I woke up this morning there was no babies left in the tank except this one large (now fat) female fighter.... and no female in the spawning net
Damnit!
Hey all,
I am looking for some female killi's.
At the auction at the fish show I won a Fundulopanchax garneri gold male and also a large albino male. I was wondering if anyone had any females that I could buy of them?
Cheers,
Aaron
are both days open to the public? I really want to go to the auction but I dont want to miss out on the show and dont want to travel down two days in a row.
