  1. Canon are great. Shop around, check websites etc.
  2. left one is line bred
  3. she was looking pretty grim until i got some fluid into her. I havent managed to get any solids into her. If laying they often go off food for a few days so not worried about that really. Ive been making up fresh salads, lots of insects, 1/4 cup water (enough to get traction in blender), tiny bit marmite. blend then drain juice. Syringe feed, seems to have picked her up. Who knows maybe she would of pulled through anyway. I could of got onto it sooner, looking back at photos she was showing signs atleast two weeks prior. Breeding tipped her over the edge i think. :dunno: Upto 6 eggs now, one looks like a dud, rest ok. Colour not bad on body either this afternoon gone.
  4. Is a good read cheers. Nothing about magic marmite in there though
  5. and another (4 total) she will be laying into the night at this rate
  6. you dont need any help taking pics. a fish tank will always struggle to look as good as a frog though
  7. Cheers, NZ Exotic's photography coming soon
  8. slowly figuring out the basics with this new camera, starting to like it more and more.
  9. im stoked, shes sitting in her water bowl now. fingers shes on the up egg looks ok too surprisingly. little low on calcium maybe..
  10. put her in a tank with sand about an hour and a half ago. thought if she wants to lay then you never know. hour passed nothing and she hadnt even moved. put back in her normal enclosure. just checked and lo and behold an egg on the turf :happy1: crazy
  11. care sheet is good. search function up top may bring up some topics of interest
  12. to true. will stick to getting some food into her. she's not looking too bad. or atleast no worse. tempted to say starting to look better but maybe bit early for that
  13. she passed some urate about half an hour age, was still straining after, walking forward, looked like she was trying to push an egg out. sort of looked like a pink finger protruding 10mm but went back in. gave her a bath but nothing passed. back on her basking rock.
  14. ive done the sugar method on a reeves once. gritty but it worked
  15. she passed another yellow motion yesterday (like pic earlier) this morning same deal but with a little fecal to go with it. maybe a good sign...
  16. they can vary soo much in size regardless of age. generally comes down to care. age is not so important in the reptile world, size is, big eat/fight/pester the small. Bit risky putting a big red ear with small snakeneck. Turtles do best on their own in tanks, should be in a pond once of size, especially if trying to house more than one together.
  17. Been a nice chilled out day here. Good way to finish a greatish year. Bring on 2011
  18. cheers td she didnt like syring, bit down on it with enough force to crack it, and almost took a chunk out of the tip of my finger  ouch but my fault lol i dunno jo
  19. Happy new year :happy1:
  20. She had a couple of chews on the insect then spat it out. Got my finger caught up in the process, shes still got plenty of strength. Did blender mix. Couldnt see pulp going up syringe, so seived out juice. Have given her a little using the burrito method . Will see how she looks in an hour or so, may give her some more mid avo. Could spoon pulp into mouth??
