  1. maybe. looks like one of the two. will be interesting to see if they get much bigger. just found this big fly at the river (maybe similar to what the sparrow was eating)
  2. Just gave her a bath and she passed a good firm brownie  Maybe repto, i think it may of been a combination of things but :dunno: Will do things different in the future, pay more attention to the basics for one
  3. yep heavily with repcal calcium (no d3) this is how it all went down was misting her, she was lapping water up off her nose. then walked around her water bowl upto some fresh salad, had a couple of attempts but withdrew about 5mm off food each time, i was thinking is her eye sight ok... thought id dust a cricket and drop in, soon as i did that she was off. after 3rd she was loosing interest/getting lazy, gave her another with legs off (easy to catch). left her to it, and she was basking straight after.
  4. its as good sign for sure. shes basking now so thats good to. will be interesting to see how her system copes with/digests the crickets.
  5. nice, probably best to have a hide.
  6. snails (population explosion anyway) are often the result of overfeeding. have seen tadpoles eat most of a huhu beetle Stella......was dead already though
  7. dolomedes aquaticus or? theyre only small, appx 10mm body.
  8. looking good. flowers should be ok, i could be wrong though.
  9. have heard of people breeding goldfish in ponds for them. lot of work though :-? you could ask the big goldfish breeders, they may get seconds that they cull etc. wouldnt it be nice to have an endless supply of livefoods
  10. worms are good. yeah ELNs eat like there's no tomorrow, almost need to breed fish for them. theyre suppose to be carnivores i think, but some eat pellets to my surprise.
  11. was a weird lot of morphs in that bunch. this is more mutant, possibly just nibbled at tadpole stage and re-grew two mutant feet instead. :dunno: .
  12. more likely they just got nibbled on from siblings at the tadpole stage. maybe not though.
  13. They dont normally eat pellets but some individuals seem to like them..... Anyone else feed pellets? Do they eat them? Just curious, cheers.
  14. VERY tidy tank and some healthy fish & plants
  15. nice one . can you tell me how it works, just basically?
  16. tri-frog is amazing how they just adapt to deal with it.
  17. i would but depends what you want to do. Are they to stay in the pond long term or come into a tank? if you intended to bring them in, i would now. if not leave em to it. maybe chuck in some bloodworms or some other high protein food may get the legs developing a little faster. this is my one eye, may keep it, is interesting watching it eat. have another that has only one back leg. he's my tri-frog. oh and an albino with one eye bigger than the other :nilly:
