  1. permanently or still just holding her there until decisions made?
  2. market sets the price....or is there such a thing as a set price these days. so many sales this that and the other these days its almost as good as the weather. what a time to be alive
  3. just another tax. more earnings = more tax...thats life
  4. wow theyre really going all out for kiddies this year
  5. im suppose to picking up some poly sheets for lining a room later today. just curious if anyone knows if its likely to absorb heaps of water, if it rains on it whilst on the trailor?? and if it does will it dry out once on/in walls if one side is left exposed to air/warmth? cheers matt
  6. i dunno how you do it....
  7. i hope your not taking them for a run every day
  8. true, and the current lighting should be more than enough i suppose. i can send you some cricket "doo" if you like, all natural fert. cant beat it just dont eat it
  9. why do you want to use ferts, are the plants enlongated or yellowing? if theyre growing ok now but slow then i would be more inclined to up the lighting before adding ferts. feed the frogs more = natures own fertiliser
  10. people playing golf can hire clubs...they dont need to buy th best set upfront nor go to the best course people getting into fish often go for guppies, minnows and the cheaper often easier fish to care for an breed which isnt a bad thing? if all fish were cheap it would make for an interesting market maybe not much of one at all? I find that the more expensive things are often for a reason ie hard to get or hard to care for and or breed so all relative.....time often balances the price out but markets also change for many reasons. jst another way to look at it
  11. inbreeding cant be good and chamelions in this country maybe suffering from exactly that? tumours all the time... in saying that reptiles seem to be able to get it on with the rallys and still produce healthy sprogs a lot of the time..obviously unrelated is ultimate but what do we do? im sure the powers that be will see how responsible we all are and let the importing commence again one of these years
  12. thats sad Barrie but just part of society, focus on the good and good will come to you anyone not paying tax is a muppet i bred my dogs last year making enough to buy a small car, i paid tax on them as the way i see it anything i breed or sell is income.....an accountant tells me i hadnt needed to bother as one must have some hobbies....suppose that makes but hmm tm has also given buyers alot more choice and a much more competitive market. So not all bad, its just a bit harder to make an honest earn but all that more rewarding
  13. im just having a laugh mate. (scored some cheap brichardi out if it to jj) you must be doing something rite. keep on keepn on
  14. tough times on the brichardi market a head people
  15. thats seems to happen, its like ppl saying tortoises are $1 in blah blah yet a few grand here......this is where we at so enjoy it dont destroy it. im not saying dont sell things cheap/er just that sometimes when u bottom prices out its not always a + for the hobby like some may think ie sell for $1, If i was a breeder why would i bother to purchase of you other than to "help get them out there" but your already doing that. if i was a newbie then cool chuck that in the tank.. . .woopsy x bred, woopsy not compatible . . . .. which can do a lot of damage to pure species down the line if sell at a fair price its more likely fish go to people who really want them (hey its still only a few dolllars a fish), who will do the research and maybe even bred them....= good all round for the hobby.
  16. since when are fish so expensive you need to breed them to get them more widely accesible  i think you have good intentions but for the good of the hobby a bit of balance may sit well. jmo
  17. thats awesome sneaky.....i dream of doing something similar one day
  18. I put some roaches in the freezer.....a few days later thought Id bring them out to see if they would come back to life, as someone on here mentioend they thought they would. anyway put in fridge to slowly bring them back around. Then a few hours later took them out of the fridge...............and ahh still yet to see any movement
  19. just came across this thread whilst searching for soemthing else....some darn nice photos posted
  20. u may of just had ONE good mating? ive had so many infertile eggs from some that have been mated and some that have not but have started laying. Im either doing something very wrong or im just having a bad run. I find it can be so easy to get them to actually mate but also very tricky with some. . .
  21. duckweed would be good for sucking up nutrients..its used for that purpose in sewage ponds overseas. also less feeding and a having a well planted tank, with less light and lower temps with a fittig lid will mean you dont need to change the water as frequently
