  10. thanks, yep mister diy kiwi style Its mainly for the plants, I give them about 10-20seconds misting each morning. and if the tank is full of flies i dont have to open the doors to mist etc not bad for under 20bux i thought
  11. i agree to a certain extent. Mealworms are hard to digest and have little goodness in them. they can chew there way out & or do damage internally to your herp. Feeding the appropriate size and well hydrated mealworms reduce's the risk. and feed to your herp well before lights out so they have time to digest etc Ive gone off mealworms. Crickets are the best food out, roaches are up there but prone to escaping, locusts are good. Waxworms as a treat if at all. jmo
  12. yep about 3cm...weird looking thing , like a see through caterpillar/maggot that swims with a huge tube out the back. for breathing maybe. only see them in one trough that i load up with greens to feed other troughs etc. this just landed...has amazing green eyes, but my cheap camera doesnt want to focus on them
  13. what about this weird looking one? found in trough full of infusoria? have seen a dragon fly laying under the duckweed?
  14. Tree frog setups taking shape now.....but im still changing it around addiing things every few days christmas  tadpoles and young frogs now, young frogs maybe a tadpole or 2 left adults & young frogs in this setup still trying to think how i want to landscape the bottom. open to any suggestions/ideas
  15. yea i agree with SamH. the tanks i use to have that were painted looked good but if spilt any water it left marks in the paint (maybe related to the sort of paint that was used). after a while some cracked and or peeled off but that was from water getting to it. Some tanks looked ok after years.
  16. spray paint maybe better? otherwise just some black card from warehouse stationary etc is what i would use. If not wanting to paint.
  17. 100% should be black. anything less and you will see through it depending on light i think. edit or maybe not...
