ouh missed the original question. its totally safe to use pumice i use it as a filter media and i know of someone that has an 9 foot tank covered with pumice and has been like that for over a year now.

so inanga is white bait?? the same stuff that we buy to eat i've got few of them in my pond biggest one is about 14cm. i thought they all died over the winter but i've seem them out again they seem to breed like nuts.

from what i've understand its not unless other fish starts eating it but wouldn't risk it and remove the fish to a hospital tank anyway.

yeah gold nugget :bounce: :bounce: i vote for either a LDA33 or L018 [one of the gold nuggets there is 4 types] what size is the tank both of these get pretty big but takes a long time to.

are u sure its an skunk loach???? 12inch is a foot long [30cm] i thought they max out at around 4inch

bought these off kyle couple of weeks back now and have been researching like mad trying to find out what they are. now from all i know these were imported and sold as L002 but i am almost certain they're not cuz of their eyes and the pattern on the head, in fact after a lot of on line research and book flicking i am almost certain they're in fact L226. near the end i was tossing up between L226 and L206 and what made my decision is after a close look at ALOT of pictures i've notice L206 always have spot on the back fins not stripes. but would like to actually have an positive ID please this is the list of what ppl have told me what they could be. its normal thats just what they do. they're trying to blend in with their surroundings when they feel unsafe or stressed.

i would have thought MH light and the JBL fertilizer would be plenty. treating the algae would the natural way is barley straw or SAE other wise try chemicals like Flourish excell or Algaefix by Pondcare [this stuff works for me every time]

he signs up as a different user every time and climes that he is importing zebra plecos and other fancy plecos but it sound like he has ever keep an pleco in his life. he is also apparently in to his marines but never had a marine tank. :roll:
