Awww well I am so proud of the J's that left here then :oops: she is so pretty Ryan got some aswell and his are breeding well too and pretty. Awesome that you two are keeping them breeding, I might buy some back at some stage, don't ask what happened to the original stock

Yeah it does make you wonder aye Tiden :lol: Yeah it is a great clip to watch, love the slow motion of the bat picking up a fish... bats are very cute I reckon, hard case watching her really make an effort to get out of the drink after being in the jaws of a catfish :roll: :lol: I am subscribed to National Geographic... the clips they put out are brilliant!!!

Sorry I at times use short versions, like alot of other fishkeepers do, habit.. Infact I just googled the name Neo tret to see what would pop up and websites popped up about the fish, and abbrev used by other fish keepers overseas on forums, it's just an african keepers slang language me thinks 8) It is Neolamprologus tretocephalus... Gorgeous tangy, slow growing... and very pretty but very highly aggressive.

The males tube is normally shorter, more delicate looking... shame you couldn't throw a pic on here of them 8) We kept a few in the same tank, and you they normally pair off on their own, maybe something you could do if you unsure of sexing them?

I will try and get pics up of the boy and females coming to you ryan... the male is stunning, starting to blue up majorly and his top fin edge is a bright bright yellow almost more so orange... Nice looking fish firenzenz and livingart, they are lovely 8)

Well hard case thing is, these 2 have only just met each other today in the same tank and bang shes holding :lol: Yeap definately know that they somewhat "fragile" holding, however, thanks for the thumbs up ryan Will leave her a wee bit before I snag her out... she seems pretty content.

Yeah she's a real naughty girl that Leleupi, shes a real nosey blighter... she's the only one of her kind in the tank, she loves it in there so thought why not, she's boss hog.... :lol: She almost had a look on her face like, what the hell is going on :lol: Well the Blue Dolphins efforts paid off, she is now tucked away and swilling.. seems she has a nice little crop in her mouth 8)

Finally was able to get a clear shot of my Neo trets, after so darn long, I have been waiting for a chance to take a quick snap unseen, they are such secretive little varments... *sigh* So here is one of our lot...

They both have tubes, but hers being more pronounced than his.

The male tube is usually alot thinner and smaller than the females... the females is usually fat and stubby looking... hmm that's the best I can describe it :lol: They definately are different to look at. Hers is more pronounced looking than his... Do you notice other physical differences between the two like dorsal fins etc, that's how we generally sexed our bolivians that way...

Here is mum looking over some of her babes.. she and her other half are excellent, it is funny... throughout caring for the eggs, she was the one that did all the work, fanning and keeping them clean... he just wasn't interested and she would forever try to get him into the pot to do his share, however with no success.. yet since the babes are out and about he is very attentive... so he's not the deadbeat dad I thought he might end up being :lol: :lol:
