who uses U.V.? if so, what hours are you running it daily, or are some only using it to treat probs as they occur? i have 36w running on 800l setup. ran it 24/7 for a few days, now have it on 12hrs-on 12hrs-off cycle. makes the skimmer go nuts, i have it running sump - carbon reactor - uv - skimmer - sump.

alot of us get water from takapuna boat ramp - however cookie extreme saw something on telly saying takapuna beach was polluted. i dont think anyone has had problems with water from there, as long as you get it near / at high tide, and there has been no rain for a while

best to get it bang on high tide, after a few clear days. as for feeding, i wonder if the same particles exist / organisms live in the water here compared to a tropical reef? id say it would be different, so feeding would probably be useful.. [not that i feed mine]

i have a few dotted around the tank, and the lower light ones are more bushy

anyone have any algae-covered rock that PBT will graze? mine is eating prepared food, but thers not much rock for him to graze that has algae [due to my outstanding husbandry ]

have read that most pods will survive the trip through the return pump, so no need to have fuge above tank. anyone know if this is true?

i have used it too, sometimes the water will go a bit cloudy for a few hours after dosing, and the skimmer collects a bit more cr4p. does the trick though

HFF let me swap the 11watt that i had already installed for a 36watt. legends

neither cant ping it, their domain may have expired maybe they run zeovit on their webserver and it absorbed the data :roll:
