Should be ok unless you're stirring up all the gunk in the gravel. You can always put the discus in a bucket with air stone and heater( if it's going to take long)and do your gardenning and landscaping. Do a WC after that and put the fish back in. That way they are not that stressed. ron

That's the trouble when people start crossing different strains and produce all sort of rubbish :evil: . You don't even know what fighter you get now adays because of these culprit. Even buying from the shops don't guarantee you a true strain becausesome of the rubbish are off loaded to the shop . So it's safer to get your fish from reputable breeder and honest breeder that will tell what the fish you're getting is. You pay peanuts and you'll get monkeys. You can fill the tank up and make sure you keep the lid on cos' female will jump. ron

I would stay away from that shop and not buy any live fish or plants from there. You could be bringing home a lot of diseases. I would guess that they use the same net and water changing hoses to do the WC (if they ever do any) :evil: . The diseases will spread like wild fire throughout the shop tank. Ron
