  1. Looking good and nice picture of them breeding. You musy be running out of place to put them soon. ron
  2. Wow! what can I say, you're a fighter Guru. Looks like you're going to be a very busy boy with all the fighter's and oranda frys. There must be at least 300-500 eggson that HM spawn. Where do you find the time to do all this and working 2 jobs Well done and keep up the good work. ron
  3. Discus shouldn't be getting white spot unless you're filling cold water when doing waterchange. That will stress the fish and the fluctuation of temp is one of the causes. I personally won't worry about it. Just do more waterchanges and add salt like Ryan says. If it's white spot your loaches will be the first one to get it. Do 2-3 big waterchanges a week to perk them up. use pre heated water for the WC to avoid stressing them. ron
  4. They are called Over Halfmoon. ron

Or you can send your snail to Wok so he can train them not to eat eggs ron
  6. Nice colourful fighters. Looks very healthy and full of beans. cheers, ron
  7. opps, come see me, got a female for you.
  8. That cambo one will go nicely with your male :bounce: :bounce:
  9. shouldn't upset the balance now that the tank is fully matured. ron
  10. Well done and the plants look great. You might have to clean the glass before taking photo lol. You need more discus in there :bounce: :bounce: Keep up the good work. ron
  11. You couldn't have said it better. I use to pop into his shop when i'm around the area and chat about fish and breeding discus. He's very passionate about the hobby. My condolences to his family and friends and hope you find peace in your after life. You will be missed. ron
  12. And they will rip your plants to pieces too
  13. I would say the impeller is stuffed If it's rattling and not pumping water .Replace the impeller and it'll go. ron
  14. There is nothing wrong with the PH. Goldfish like high PH anyway. PH of around 8 is ideal. ron
  15. Beautiful CT from a Master Breeder . Good luck in your breeding program. ron
  16. A 75 ltrs tank is call a small tank and not a massive tank  The water quality can quickly turn bad in such a small tank without you noticing. Have you tested it for ammonia and nitrite since it's a new tank? Spending $1000s to save a little goldfish is totally insane unless you're filthy rich :bounce: One white spot on a goldfish around the head region is quite common. I wouldn't go crazy and start dosing the tank with med. If the fish is infected with white spots it will be all over the fins and body and not just 1 spot. I would advice you to test your water and if in doubt do a 25% water change and add some salt (1 tbs/40 ltrs water) as your first line of defence. ron
  17. By looking at the photo, there is nothing wrong with your oranda. I wouldn't go crazy and dose the tank with all sorts of med. Regular waterchange and some salt added (1tbl spoon/40ltrs) should be fine. ron
  18. Nice one David! Looks like he settled in well. Now to condition him well before you pick him a nice girl :bounce: :bounce: ron
  19. there ! you do have a rexel on ghuznee st.
  20. size your photo to 640x480 so it's not so tiny. Rotting of tail usually is cause by putting new fish in a tank with a different PH from the old tank (Ph burnt). ron
  21. Medications you should have on hand (and not wait till the fish is sick) when keeping discus are Furan2, Metronidazole, Prazi, rock salt and epsom salt. The rest can all go in the bin because they're a waste of time and money. Do at least 75% waterchange (with treated water of same temp) before treating with Furan2 and follow instruction on packing. Make sure you do the full treatment. Tell the fishshop what you want and not let them tell you what you need. If they don't have it go to another shop. Good Luck, ron
  22. doesn't bother my filter at all when I used it. Mind you I do hugh daily waterchange so I guess it doesn't matter. What's the use of live filter when the fish is dead? ron
  23. I would do a complete waterchange to get rid of melafix(useless) and met blue. Then treat with Furan2. ron
