  1. Keep treating him with E salt and don't feed for a day or two.
  2. Yes you can take picture of it . I suppose you'll need a macro. Alan, you are right. I use to have a lot of them in my daphnia pond and the fish don't seem to eat them.
  3. Better start doing some serious WC and cut down on feeding. The white dots are not planaria. They are a type of water fleas.
  4. Are you trying to invent a cure for the bird flu If you can't remove the blockage, the fish will stress out and eventually die. Hope the epsom salt can fix it .
  5. But I keep them in BB tank with no other fish. Daily waterchange with pre heated water. Oh, and thanks everyone for the positive feedbacks and support :bounce: ron
  6. Yes , once you overfeed the fighter they become sick. They will keep eating until they flip over. Worse than discus.
  7. Looking good Kyle. Look like they're in good hands.
  8. It's probably the strong current and over feeding that kill them Amy.
  9. I thought it's all the fat burning that heats up the room lol.
  10. Don't worry, all the fat will burn off when you do water change
  11. That is a cheap tank. Is it made of riigid plastic? So did you go back and buy all the cakes
  12. I want one of them (green/black). He is beautifullllll. Drool ron
  13. I think even if I get you a pair of half dead fighters, you'll still be able to breed them  cos' you're the Man :bounce: ron
  14. If you're rich go for german made, if not china made (aqua one 1200) will do the job fine with your tank size. I have about 10 ehime filter and a dozen or so Aqua One. The both does the same job :bounce: :bounce: ron
  15. Discus can tolerate any med. Make sure other fish in the tank can tolerate the med. Wonder tonic, Blue circle white spot cure and Malform will all do the job. When treating with salt you have to watch your plants. Too high a dose will kill the plants. I've been keeping and breeding discus for 30+ years and have not have a discus with white spot. I would get rid of the neons and replace them with cardinals. Ron
  16. Nice job David, more beautiful HM The pair look familiar . You definately need a bigger fishroom lol. Keep up the good job. Ron
  17. That's because I never feed them flake in their life. Not the ideal food for discus and can pollute the water real fast if not eaten especially in a planted tank. ColorBit is the staple food I feed them.
  18. That's why they're called fighters  ron
  19. Wok, there is "a mountain higher than yours". ron
  20. That's nature's way of culling . Fittest survive and in a way it's good because there is way too many frys in a spawn. I usually keep the big and fast grower and cull the small and slower grower. ron
  21. Agree with Phoenix44, Feed the discus more because they are at the growing age. Better to have energertic discus then having discus hiding in the back of tank doing nothing all day.
