    I would pull the impellar out and and wash it clean. Clean the hole with a small brush or tooth brush too.

    do a waterchange and treat it with furan2. The fish should come right. Bad water quality leading to stress and finally bacterial infection. How often do you water change.

    The best way is to set up another tank :bounce: and put the frys in there with a sponge filter. The bristlenose should be fine.

    I mainly feed them with colorbit . Only feed bw twice a week.

    So it is not shaking but flicking or twitching of fins. Then it is most likely caused by the florish burning effect as mention by adodge. I would do as big a waterchange as possible and add salt as mention by p44. The fish should recover fine.

    How big is the discus? "Got the shake?" Maybe it's sign of breeding ? Scraping against the plant's leaf or cleaning them? ron

    It all depends how superstitious you are but as they say when in rome do what the roman does.

    The most important thing is to keep both eyes on your baggage at all time. REMEMBER IT'S DEATH PENALTY IF CAUGHT WITH DRUGS. Stay away from the southern part of thailand too. There is too much fighting going on there. Beautiful country to visit.

    If the water in the 54ltrs is okay then it don't need changing :lol:

    No good taking dirty water from another tank. Need nice fresh water. Just mix your hot and cold water from tap in a bucket and add some water ager.

    How big is the frys? You did say 5 wks old. If too small, then feed with newly hatch BBS as suggested by Zev. You have to feed at least 3 times a day. MW is not very good for growing but better than hunger if you can't feed them. The way to grow big healthy frys is to let them eat all the time and water change at the end of the day.

    Live BBS might be a bit too small.

    Mosquito larvae is the best. Daphnia will be ok too. The next best food is BW. Do not overfeed with BW.

    The only food that can save your stunted frys are life food together with daily water change. cheers, ron
