Glad the discus made it and started eating again :bounce: :bounce: Now I would observe the discus for a period of time to see if it fully recover before medicating with all sorts of med. Over medicating with unnessary med will make the fish immune to the med and create super bug. ron

If the fish had been prazi'd and is eating like a pig , then it can't be fluke or hex which is why I suggested to treat with Furan2.

I would treat with Furan2 first. Put the sick fish in a 40 ltrs tank to treat so you only use 1 capsule per dose. Don't need to increase temp (28 will do). Double dose first dose. after 24 hrs do a big wc and dose 1 capsule. repeat 2 more time. Put an airstone in tank (don't need filter) ron

I agree! definately not ocean green. Ocean green are solid colour fish. -
Treat them with metro for 5 to 7 days and they'll start to eat. What were they fed on before?

p44, yes! from the same parents. doing a course of treatment on the ones your geting. Will be ready in a couple of weeks.

They are bred from the ones I imported myself. They came in as super checkerboard. I find that with checkerboard as they matured the checker pattern breaks up and the discus end up with lines or spots. When they first pattern up the checker pattern is excellent. I'll try to get pic to show you the parents and baby when i've got some time.

Live bbs is the best food for frys. 4-6 times a day :lol: As for culling, you can only get rid of the ones with bad dorsal, belly slider and after a month you can cull the slow grower or runts if you wish.

Try to get a male leopard to breed with her and they'll produce stunning discus for you. ron

Yes! when your fishroom smell bad due to overfeeding and lack of wc, melafix comes in handy. Put a few drop in the tank and the room will smell nice again :lol: -

That tank will be sufficient for breeding and growing the baby . Tanks don't have to be huge to do it. Waterchange is the key. When they're big enough you can always sell some to thin it out. Have a go at breeding them Amy! As for pairs in a com tank, as long as your tank is big enough and planted you should be fine. They will find their little corner to do their stuff and the other fish will soon learn to stay away from them :lol: ron
