  1. I own a BK and it does the same thing as the photo, it skims more, but it is not as thick. My Deltec AP1003 pulls out about 1 Litre a day, have over 30-40 fish. Whilst it does not pull out as much as the BK it is a much thicker waste, so i would quess that it is taking out more. My wife said last night my rocks are clean
  2. the guys got problems if the skimmer pulls out that much. the bk skimmit is not that thick so its wet skimming.
  3. Stirring with you fingers is not a good idea as it makes a big difference with the PO4 reading. Be interested who the Plonker was Steve.
  4. Tank is coming on nicely.
  5. No , starvation, has to eat something.
  6. with water volume like that a skimmer wont fit in the top tank as it will have to be a large skimmer.
  7. you should stir it up now and then to allow water to go through it. would be good if you had a small airstone with the carbon.
  8. I found the only reason they become predators is because they have no choice, it’s either starve to death or eat an acropora to survive. Same thing has been happening to my Acropora , could be a sign that tanks are too low in nutrients.
  9. I like the corals no issue with that. Just he has basically nothing in the tank. Not hard to keep clean, sandbed or no sandbed.
  10. it is a very nice tank, but would not make the top 10 on RC
  11. easy solved, take out all the coral and fish. sand, rocks, then the tank will stay clean.
  12. does he have fish? can only see one. That is why he has no nutrients, no need to feed .
  13. got the link to his tank
  14. Steve west tank is far superior that bombers. so having sand is more benefit. Low nurients is just as much a problem as high nutrients,
  15. Hows the pics coming on. looking forward to a update,
  16. Bit like the flame hawkfish, psedochromis
  17. yes they are if you get the good quality airpump.
  18. As mentioned all make a bit of noise. you could get a airstone skimmer as they are quite, if you got a small tank they would work well and will skim better than any cheap skimmer on the market. Airstone skimmers do have the smallest bubbles possable, but you have to change the airstone every month.

    FISH AGGRESION

6 or so tanks and never been a problem, as mentioned it just depends on the fish's nature. If they are still fighting after 4 weeks then it is best to remove one of them. or you could take out the sixline and put him back in a week.

    FISH AGGRESION

yes i can as i have 40 tanks. never been a problem, some grammas and sixline are in small 2ft tanks and they are not fighting. Some sixline are aggressive and some Gramma loreto can also be a bit aggressive with smaller fish, just depends on the fish's nature.
