  1. I dont think that shop is in the same league, might be a large shop but it does not have the variety and quality corals/fish like the German shop.
  2. Based on that test the carbon is leeching too much PO4. .10 ppm is very high. Hopefully one of the others will be ok. as far as i understand all carbon will leech some po4,
  3. Are they bulbs? What is special about them??
  4. hows this for man made rock, its ceramic painted, its expensive but it does not hold po4 etc, can get in any size.
  5. I think a small damsel is going to do squat for the amount of rock you have. might need 50 damsels to produce enough waste. just get some ammonia to dose the tank
  6. How does he assist with cycling?

Zeovit does seem to do that is you dont do the water changes. my sump went ballastic.

    missing blenny

I doubt that very much, way to small to add anything, your craps etc would have eaten him in a day, amasing what you find in your tank.

    Deltec Tank

Nice tanks but pricey, still have not sold any yet. A fully set up 4ft tank is about $12000. so the one in the photo will be heaps more.
  11. will be able to get a pivot to adjust flow,
  12. due out feb/march 2006 Pricing will be about the same as a stream. will keep you posted.

    Live food

I understand that Daphine is ok for roughage, no nutritional value at all.
  14. JoeBlog The streams are a bit of a eye sore so it is good if you can build them in a void. But how does the barebottom stack up with appearance.
  15. why drilled?? works like a glass magnet
  16. they are cool pumps. be good if the outside part was water proof then it could be run inside the overflow,
  17. These guys had great ideas to hide pumps., hard to do on a small tank. http://www.reefpark.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=15268 http://www.reefpark.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=14927&st=0
  18. here is his lighting details. The lights are built onto a "homemade" frame and consist of 2 46.5" Super Actinic URI VHO's on an Icecap 430, 3 Aquasun URI VHO's on an Icecap 660 and a pair of 250W, 10k MH's on Icecap MH Ballasts
  19. Had tried the earlier models which seemed ok for money spent, They dont skim as hard and are more passive so you dont get the thick skimmate. They work on venturi and do pull a lot of air in which is good. The New tunze skimmers will be out soon so will test to see how good they are. they are cheap and would be a middle range skimmer performance like aquamedic, schuran.
  20. Here are pics of the BK300. Hard to get a shot inside the cup as it is under a tank. As you can see it is taking lots of crap out, 1 weeks worth. This is the difference between mediocre skimmers like via aua, weipro. Can’t really see how these skimmers are good value when they hardly take anything out, Only benefits of these skimmer is that you might get the feel good factor because your did not spend much money by that is about it. Any skimmer will skim something but cheap skimmers will take a very long time to remove anything so organics will build up so they will never catch up and the waste will keep building. If budget is a problem then it is best to get an air stone skimmer as they will take out far more and at least they will be doing something.
  21. Just chill out and leave it. test in a few months when you are ready.
