Best concert I've been to. Billy is the man if you've seen them in concert your will not miss seeing him live. They played the first few songs and Billy wasn't happy with the sound so took a break and sorted it out. Next song started up and Billy walks to the front of the stage and lets rip, a wall of sound came out that hit you between the ears. It was a long concert and then they played like 2 or 3 encores of a couple of songs each. They really wanted to put on a good show and they did, don't think this time will be any different.

Because you can't export native parrots from Ozzie a lot are borough here hatch and then exported. Others just stay here as we are very short on bloodlines. While they continue to bust people there will be people to fill their place as the money is so good. Me I just can’t get the parrots I want, great isn’t it that the people who play by the rules are the ones left behind.

I can understand why he release's them but it is legal even if they were in your own back yard. The other thing that DOC is doing is not renewing permits, I know this is happening in Northland. A guy from CITIES(DOC/MAF/Customs) told me that DOC are reviewing all native's with a view to canceling all permits, this at the same time they where asking me to buy smuggled parrots undercover. Yah right

Unless you have someone in DOC/MAF nothing will happen. They make the rules you follow them and they wont ask for your input and if they do they wont take any notice. Have a look at the Red crown Kakariki. Close to being extinct in the south island. There are breeders who are keen on breeding these and releasing them but don't DOC aren’t interested. I've been asking for the form to apply for a permit but they just won't send me them, there will come a time when they are in the same position as the Orange Fronts but DOC don't want to have any thing to do with private breeders. My Rams are imported so always a risk and usually have breeding pairs in 2' tank so not much room to get away. I've had my Blues for about a year and over that time have had to cut lumps out of the females back and treat with alsort but now she is in a breeding tank so fingers crossed. Got my Golds about 2 months ago so the 2 females are being fatten up in another tank from the male. 1 female has short fins and the other has long fins so will see how things go.

She may have come of age or more likely as they came from Kilamates that they are in better quality water. I would worm them, feed them up on White worms, worm them again and then try and breed them. The male can be a real pain as he will want to breed and be at the females all day long and this can lead to problems. I had a couple of Apisto’s and the males where at the females all day long. The females got dropsy and died, before I notice the males had eaten the female and a couple of days got Dropsy as well. They are great fish and hard to breed so best to take the time and put the extra effort in.

I would agee with Ryan. Colour is sign of sex not that she is ready to breed.
