Thanks Afrikan I'd love to see what their fry would look like Hmmm, may have to get my hands on a 2ft then, i only have small tanks sitting around... (tries to figure out how to sneak a new tank into house) Aside from lots of caves, anything specific? should i use a planted tank? gravel or barebottom? Would they eat algae if i got some growth before breeding? *resolves to google once i get home*

Hey guys, i've had my young krib pair for a wee while now, in my community tank. They shimmy for each other, the female does that weird bendy-sweepy movement with her tail, they guard the tunnel and seem dead keen, but my guess is that the comm. tank is too heavily stocked, which is why they aren't spawning. I'd like to give them their own tank and let them have a go at it, maybe with a baby BN or two to play clean-up crew. How big a tank should i set up? Any help in regard to either dimensions or volume would be very helpfull!!! Thanks!!

If it's a clown loach, be prepared to get a bigger tank for him as he grows 8) And he would be 2000% happier if you got him some friends

Hey clipper, sorry i can't help, but for what it's worth, i'm in auckland and we recently had a cold snap - my turtle went nuts!!! went back and forth between not eating & tucking up in his shell on the floor underwater, and freaking out, careering around missing his turns so he was smacking into the glass. Was pretty scary, but my point is that they're clever and sensitive, so if you've had a weather change, or something new in the environment etc that we normally wouldn't think of, it could still be bothering your turt. However, sounds like an irritation of the throat. Best of luck with getting him looked at by an experienced vet - ones that have worked in the UK have usually seen lots of turtles

i have a red ear terrapin would love to set up a big water or bearded dragon tank in future, but need to do my homework, and maybe wait til i own my own place

Loving this progress thread, great work Caryl (i mean landscapers!!!!), what an awesome project!!! Thanks for that - she doesn't seem distressed and is eating daily, so i will keep an eye on her and euth if/when she gets to that point.

Are you sure it's not cicadas? If u look by the pond on a sunny day, and are slow and quiet in approaching, you should be able to see a frog before you get too close and he disappears. At the least you would see/hear the splish
