  4. I like the look of the bottom fish....very 8) Thanks for you suggestion Billaney
  5. I was thinking of putting my 3 remaining adult guppies into the smaller 2 foot tank, which has 2 teen guppies, 4 WCMM, and 3 Apples snails in it. I was wondering what type of fish I could get for my 3foot tank, that would add some colour and size maybe? In the 3 foot there would be 1 swordtail mail, about 6 platties, 2 corys, 1 med angel, and around 6 small B/noses. Would love some suggestions, so I can start my search.
  6. Apparently when I was 3 or 4, I decided to clean my mums tropical tank (it probably looked dirty  ) I dropped a cake of sunlight soap in with her angels and other fish. Mum came in to see soapy bubbles floating on the top of the water, Mum said that she can't remember any dying :-? . She laughed when I said I was starting a tropical tank up

    New tank mates

I guess it is what is available to the purchaser too. In Dargaville you are limited to 2 plant shop, which sell fish on the side There are some better Fishie shops in Whangarei, but have not seen any Angels (or guppies) that I would want to buy.

    New tank mates

Thanks for your help Matt & Alan, much appreciated I never said that I was wanting to breed them, only wanting to know how to sex them....and personally I don't think they are a horrible, mottled colour....I think they are quite pretty, but hey thats just my opinion! (I'm not a fish Expert!)

    New tank mates

Well, I was thinking about getting a couple of Angels in the near future for my community tank. I was visiting a friend, and she said I could have hers....YIPEEEEEE for me LOL. I'm not too sure if the are males or females (how do you tell?) One is larger, mainly black with silver markings, with a dab of gold near it's head...the other is mainly silver with a few black markings. Both are very pretty fish Will have to try my hand at taking pics again LOL.
  23. My guppies nibble on my arm, when I am cleaning their tank. I just got 2 angels aswell, and they follow my every move, very neat fish!!! Good luck with tropicals.
