the best sand u can get is from Whitesands up north. its pure white looks amazing. i currently have triplefins, baby sweep and maomao school, baby goatfish afew glass shrimp, hermet crabs ect. have never had a skimmer and never had any probs.. native tanks are awesome!

you can sometimes buy live sharks from the live fish shop at the auck fish market downtown. Ive seen them have carpet sharks at about a ft long, not very hygenic tanks down there though.

i usually just use a smaller ammount of a product with my clowns and dose a couple of times, and ive never had any problems. my pictus cats seem more sensitive than anything else.

ive had mine running for afew weeks now, no fish in it yet, i see a guy on trademe is selling live crays though! i been doin a 50% water change every week with sea water from the westcoast. its really starting to balance now! i cant wait to add some fish. as for kahawai, there palegic so they would need a huge tank to do well.

im not worrid about the mess im a spearfisherman so im well used to killing fish. i just thought there mite be a drug or somethin, but it sounds like ill be getting the iki stick out.

yea i was thinking that would be the best way. not the cleanest though.
