very nice setup! Do you mind sharing what equipment you are running?

my tank is 500mm high, 10mm glass and rimless, when the tanks full there is a slight bow in the glass when looking down it but its been fine for the last few years and have never lost sleep over it! If you can get 12mm or even 15mm then I would.

the best thing you can do if your able to have a sump is buy a decent skimmer rather than the external canisters. get a couple of decent t5's as you'll need them at a minimum if you want to keep corals, and a pump or two for flow. start off with the easy soft corals and do lots of research before making any impulse purchases research, research research, then ask lots of questions :thup:

if you have a decent skimmer on the tank i wouldn't worry about using the canister filter

have a look for a second hand tunze 6025 you can mod them and make the flow almost double, there getting pretty cheap now too

one day i came home and found it had worn its way through the glass :slfg: its called a Ecotech vortech they have the motors on the outside of the tank

Did the rock get the hair algae on it since you put it in the tank? If so it should go away in time as it could be doing a mini cycle from being moved around, Get rid of the apastasia anemone in the second to last pic asap the longer you leave it the harder it will be to remove it before it spreads

got some stuff going on so will need to sell as i wont be able to keep a tank for awhile other wise i would keep it, its a great setup i love it!
