RIP old fishie Glad to hear it was a quick end!
  5. Any ideas on the sex of these guys? Could the 2 big ones both be girls, and just really like each others company?
  6. WOW...great read....many thanks for my 1st ever copy!!!!
  7. hehe.....just good advice My 2 year old named the pleco......crocodile 8)
  8. The pleco is looking so much better He is moving about and all of the spots have gone from his underside....he even had some in his mouth, which are now gone aswell. He still has some on his upper body...but I am pleased with his progress Thanks for all the advice on him.....hopefully the angels will respond as well

    Hi All

    Hi and welcome......
  10. I haven't recieved an email/form to fill out, & I am sure I signed up as a member awhile ago. I have changed my internet service provider though, maybe that is the reason?
  11. Here are my new Angels. This is newone (yet to have a name LOL) This lovely little guy is from Dawn (thanks Dawn....he is going well, and is a greedy little piggy!) This is Silvy....he is one of the sick angles,he hides from the other 2 bigger angels as they have no time for him. This is Fluffy...I am totally guessing she is a girl, she is called fluffy as she has the worst finrot, and has got a fluffy growth on one of her side fins. This is Bigboy....(againg totally guessing that he is a boy LOL)....him and fluffy seem to be an item.... Now if anyone can help me with the sex of these guys maybe they can recieve appropriate names The bigger 2 Bigboy & fluffy hardly leave each others sides....and they sperate them selves from Silvy the smaller one. The sick ones are being friendlier, and finally eating, so I am hoping that they pull through :-?

    Angels

OMG those are the cutest little things ever!!!! I hope I can get my new angels well and one day they will be proud parents.
  13. LMAO Bill.....the new tank I got the other day came with some backdrops....so I put that one in instead of looking at the back wall through the tank....you've got good eyes These 2 little guys are so funny showing off to the adult girls....they think they are such big boys
  14. Just felt like taking some more pics....so my focus was my 2 teen guppies LOL....now I know that they aren't a WOW guppy, but they are my babies....the only 2 surviers from my first whitespot breakout. The females have never dropped anymore fry so I am guessing that the male isn't doing his job LOL.
  15. I went to work today, when I came home the Pleco looks so sad, his eyes have got what looks like blisters on them....really worried about him, doesn't look good at all! If I up the temp to 30 in the tank, will the plec and angels be OK...I have a 2ft long air stone running in the tank, will this be enough bubbles?
  16. Welcome aboard...I'm sure you'll find this a great place to visit!
  17. We are on tank water...i will definately get the water tested when next in town. The first night I treated them with the tonic....which turned the water a very pretty blue Today I did a 50% water change, removed uneaten food etc, and treated with the whitespot cure....so I guess I just have to sit tight and see if the poor guys improve. The angels are looking happier, and finally ate some mossie larvae....didn't really touch their flake food in the last couple of days. Fingers crossed they make it.....they aren't so shy now aswell
  18. The tank has the 3 sick angels and the pleco in it, they all came from the same tank. The tank has only a few handfulls of gravel, I put a large piece of wood in there for the pleco as well as a tunnel/pipe for him to hide in. I cannot get to a LFS as I live in the middle of nowhere , so I only have a few thing with which I can treat, until I can next get to town. I bought the Tonic ,as mentioned before, on advice from a store in Auckland. I have used it befor for white spot, and it worked on the infected guppies. I also have White spot Cure, Cure Ex & Tonic salt.
  19. Boy is this guy hard to get a shot of 8) You can see it on his eye here, like a film. all over his body in this pic Apart from the water stain you can see the spots quite clear
  20. Bill can you explain the progressive salt treatment to me please? Also, will the salt affect the pleco?....it is roughly 150mm long. On the pleco it looked at first like it was covered in whitespot....now it looks more like a fungus....I'll try getting some photos of it.
  21. Thanks for your advice suphew & I understand what you are saying about the water issue. My problem is this though, I didn't plan on getting sick fish so couldn't put them in the established tank they were meant for. Instead they had to go in a newly aquired tank as they had no other place to go. Here is what I did..... I put water in the tank from my established tank, along with a few handfuls of gravel, also did the gunky thing with the filter that came with the tank , as I didn't have a spare. The heaters that came with the tank didn't work, so had to use one from another tank  . I had the infected fish in a bucket, so added water from their tank to get them used to the water conditions etc, then into the tank they went. They seemed to perk up straight away and look alot happier  . They have been in this new tank since Wednesday night, when should I do a water change and how much? I just hope I am doing enough for them :-?
