    moray eels

and no, a nz moray would not tolerate tropical temps, certainly not for very long anyway!
  5. My daughters hd him for 6yrs, so I'm glad he's coming right too. Thanks to you guys!!, still very funny having him in the fridge, both my girls still cant work it out, heard the oldest (the owner) talking to him when he was having a salt bath this morning " poor musty, are you all cold and freezing"
  6. Right, he's looking good, cant believe how active he is in the fridge The white fluff seems to have gone, I'm dipping him in salt baths twice a day, and he looks good - how long should I continue if His skin appears normal??
  7. well, mustards in the fridge, had a salt bath first and is now cooling down, put another container in fridge with good water to change him into after each salt bath, and a container with premixed salt for his next bath - all so the are the same temp, and he wont be shocked with big swings in temp. fingers crossed.
  8. Home to mix up some salt and put him in the fridge.
  9. No metafix in Kerikeri, tried, anything else help?????
  10. Thanks living art, any help at all is appreciated. So take water from his tank, and put it in a bowl and cool him down in the fridge??, for how long?
  11. help, my daughers axolotl was this morning covered in tuffy type fungus (I think). He looks teerible, and I have no idea how to help. The filter was accidently turned off for 3-4 days, so his water obviously deteriorated, and we have done some large water changes, but what can I treat it with, hoping that its not too late!!
  12. Some shots over the last 18 months, for those that dont frequent other reef sites June 2007 and tonight
  13. +1 - what they said, NSW, as fresh as possible, and dont be afraid to change 50% at a time.
  14. Don't let me put you off A-town, just keep changing the water often, and look at getting a good little skimmer, this will help alot.
  15. Rockpools still have quality water, flushed out twice a day at least, are you going to do this?? Those anenomes require pristine water, unless you are doing large regular - at LEAST 50% weekly - they will slowly die. You dont have good lighting, so the anenomes will need to be regularly fed, again, how are you going to keep water quality, with no skimmer, and requirements to feed alot?? Mussels will not survive long term in a tank, they require plankton, they will also die, and without any filtration and an immature tank, they will quickly pollute and kill your system.
  16. love it mate, you're a classic!! Owe you a beer just for the laughs. brill.
  17. Not quite, lots of new faces, some older ones gone, lots of nice tanks about, bugger all decent acros being imported, the 2 aquarium sites getting on much better, some arguments still, but not like the good old days , couple of crashes, couple of weddings, couple of bubbas born (even a vampyre baby Mystic), corals growing out top of tanks, people doing alot of propagating of corals and selling even to LFS, Importers fighting, etc. Been quite a year or 2.
