I see you've never clipped a dog Ira, i clip my schnauser 3-4 times a year. I use golden oyster clippers, one of the best and around $600 a set. The blades last 3-4 clips before needing resharpening and overheat if not allowed to cool during the cut. If you use people clippers, any people clippers, they just stop dead as soon as you put them near his coat, never assume a dogs coat is "just like humans".
Missing a bit, interesting to know what implied swearing is, not surprised
Got whiteband disease Craig, lost all the sps, but tank is recovering well, will try an acro in a month or 2, slowly building a nice zoo collection while i'm waiting - something you'd appreciate "zoo man"
Tank doesn't quite look like that anymore, It contacted a disease, that affects sps, and my tank was 95% sps, it was hit hard and all were lost. Clams, softies, zoos, fish, etc all unaffected.
tank now in recovery mode, will not add any sps for 6 months or so.
feed, clean, poke, look, check, water change, skimmer clean, topup top up tank, test, poke, look, check, clean.....
Its an average, weekly water changes take a couple of hours including getting it, some days 10mins, somedays alot more.
no, nz is one of a few countries that have banned the importing of live rock. All coral rock has to be dried and dead before coming into the country. It becomes live (a term that really means matured with bacteria/, as opposed to covered in incidential organisms) by being in someones tank (or the ocean ) for a period to allow the rock to population with various bacterias.
