  4. Have just got some Caryl, they seem to take and eat quite big food, incl frozen bloodworm and brineshrimp, a more active feeder than corals polyps.

  7. pff, google it then. The pipes on the link are adjustable full siphons, and yes dursos can be scaled - pff.
  8. Easier said than done 8) , suphew can prob do it though.
  9. Google durso standpipes, also look a full siphon standpipes, or adjustable full siphons. Not sure if this is ok but on on another local marine site, there is a article on adjustble Craig standpipes - they are great, but dursos are also time proven and quiet. If you have a backup pipe, go full siphon - they are the bees kness, imo.

  12. Also, you may want to consider taking the rocks on the floor out, being freshwater substrate, they may leach in salt water and replace with sand or crushed shell.

  15. ok, i'll slither back to the Dark side....... Its interesting that in marine we spend alot of time and money getting rid of nutrients and dissolved solids/minerals to reduce algae growth.

  18. , nothing but an attempt by some to encourage people to put the big ones back - packhorses taste very nice, just like big snapper. Up to the individuals whether to keep them or not.

    Have you used a slurp gun?, researched them a bit but they didn't seem to be that good?
