  1. The ute is already loaded. You just need to drive it straight to the tip... That's half the work already done for you. :bggrn:
  2. If you don't want to install the Cannon software onto your PC, you could probably just take the media card out of the camera and use a card reader to get the images onto your PC.
  3. :cophot: awesome shots and nice looking fist too. Looks like I'm gonna have to get a new camera now.
  4. That's look a pretty flash boat there. Even has an on board shower. :rolfl:
  5. That looks like a good haul there. Well done. Is that a little snail in your bucket too? Did he make it into your tank as well?
  6. Salt and regular water changes (25% every two days) in my 34l Aqua One fixed my Betta's fin rot. If I stopped either of those two, the rot returned. Also removing the small platy I cought nipping his tale didn't do any harm either. :gigl:
  7. LOL, I've seen some cola's with less fizz than that. I think if you had fish they would be making little burping sounds.
  8. Apparently big enough to smash the old sailing ships... :ton:
  9. Many... many... many, years ago, when I was a wee lad, I used to do the same thing with my Goldfish. I genuinely thought they enjoyed swimming around in the 'massive' bath compared to their tiny glass prison. No filter or anything either back then on my tank. I used to change the water about once a month when the tank got dirty and the weed had grown so much there was not much space left for them to swim. But the fish didn't seem to mind. I had them for 2 years before I ended up giving them away to a friend. IIRC the originals were still alive too. Maybe the fish were a bit hardier back then.
  10. Why is it that when my garden outside looks like that it looks like a mess, but when inside a glass box with water it looks sooooooooo much nicer. :dunno: Looks very nice. Amazing how good the right plants placed correctly looks. You obviously have lots of experiance.
  11. Very nice.... That chain sword looks very healthy now for sure. You must be very pleased with it. :cophot:
  12. ... and they don't even look very nice either. :dunno:
  13. A Wrongulator... :slfg: That's the funniest thing I have seen in ages.... Thanks
  14. Was the rest of the bike group in attendance as well or was he on his own by then? Regardless, it's a very sad way to end what was probably a very enjoyable holiday. I feel sorry most for the family.
  15. Great info thanks all. Hopefully none of them will spontaneously turn into males on me or that will stuff up my cunning plan to keep only females.
  16. Cool thanks. So they are born with the gonapodium already developed? I was under the impression that as they matured their lower fin would turn into one, or at least the appendage would become more evident. Cheers
  17. Hi Guys A couple of months ago I bought 4 Platys as they were a nice red and thought they would add a bit of colour to my community tank of Neon Tetras, Harlequins and Dwarf Gouramis. Little did I know however that of the 3 of the 4 were females. Needless to say I soon had little platys swimming merrily around. I have another smaller tank (AR380) that is the home of a male Beta. I decided to put the fry in with him and let nature take it's course. The first batch of about 4 disappeared quite fast. The second batch however had much higher numbers and they were harder to catch in my planted Vision 260 so I left them to grow out a bit before moving them to the smaller tank. I probably left them a bit long as of the 15 I put in with my Betta, 9 still remain and are big enough now to steal the food at the top off my Betta. (I feed the little guys with NLS small fish size pellets on the bottom and the Betta gets the Betta version at the top) The two tanks are right next to each and it's interesting to watch the Betta flare up every time the adult Platys swim past, and yet he pays very little attention to the teenagers in his own tank. He did chase them very enthusiastically at first but soon tired of it when he couldn't catch them. LOL I don't really have the heart to cull these guys myself as I find them still cute and very entertaining to watch. So I had thought I would just keep the females only and put them back into the big tank once they are big enough to be able to tell who's male and who's female. Currently they are about 1.5 - 2cm long and they all look like females. (going off the lower fin) Is that because they are still too young, or is there a good chance they are in fact all females? I will also find a new home for the adult Male so no chance of the cycle continuing. Any advise would be appreciated. Cheers Leon
