as long as you sell it as Hybrid im fine with it, used to have dreams about certain ultra midas severum crosses, not enough room to bother. also I wonder if anyone is working on Barb hybrids??? a few nice possibilities there

if it grows keep it, make sure you remove anything not growing after a few weeks to prevent it rotting. ummmm... doesn't that only occur in saltwater tanks??? -
thats what makes some bands GREAT imo doesn't matter how old you are its still good.

if your setting up another tank, try floating another REAL betta in with him, I do this too all my boys and after a good flare up against a REAL rival they flare for a mirror as well. maybe you just have a smart boy that realises its just a reflection

take a net, easier to ID from the side only hoping its not a Leopard fish as I love them, breed them and if they established themselves somewhere we may lose them as a good option for small coldwater tanks (sick of seeing 5 goldfish in 20L tanks)

just a possibility but it might have been a large female Leopard fish as well (hope not) Phalloceros caudomaculata. would probably be too fat to look like an inanga though

all of the emersed glosso I've ever seen grows tighter and flatter than submersed, but as sam pointed out it does die off in the lower layers and old growth. -
