  1. sounds like a type of parasite or worm. I think you can remove them with tweezers but dont do anything until you have someone elses advice becasue I have never had this problem.
  2. Mine females are like that to. I just removed my male and put in a wild male and they are breeding already. I think it is the other females eating the eggs.

  7. You really want to keep all the worms you can in compost heaps but if you take one once in a while it should be ok.
  8. I am sure you can get earth cultures that are not tiger worms. I think they are safe but some fish dont like them as much as the other variety.

    taking pics

When I take picture I get the room as dark as I can and place one of my tank lights directly over the tank. I also set the camera so It doesnt flash. The camera I use Is only a quite cheap digital one and I can still get reasonable pics of my fish.
  11. I heard somewhere that 1 male can breed with up too 6 females.
  12. Nope but I had them right beside and airstone. I didnt put any in because I heard that these eggs are very sensitive to fungus and anti-fungal treatments. Maybe I will try them next time.
  13. I have removed the eggs twice but both times they got alot of fungas on them.
  14. What is the most probable cause of my dwarf cockatoo eggs going missing?? My appisto eggs keep disappearing from my cockatoo cichlid breeding tank. The tank is 288 litres so there is plenty of space, there is a variety of caves. I have 1 male cockatoo and 3 female cockatoos in the tank. Every week or so one of my females lays about 50 eggs and when I get back from school they are all gone, which one of the following is most likely to be eating them: a- The male b- The laying female c- A jealous female that isnt laying. The female chases everything away from her cave but maybe when she is out feeding one of the other fish eats the eggs. thanks
  15. its just used to get chemicals out of the water isnt it?

    killies eggs

Killies eat their eggs and fry. Instead of removing the eggs off the mop you could remove the whole mop. But thats just what I have read so I may be wrong.
