Iv herd that they are not a hard fish to breed but raising the fry is very hard

I have found a excellent chemical free wat of getting rid of snails from my tanks. A few days ago I put a clay pot to act as a cave in my community tank and i checked for eggs the next day (being hopefull). I took the pot out and found that there was about 50 snails attached to the pot and about 200 eggs, I removed the snails and eggs and Iv been doing that for a few days now and my snail population is almost eradicated. Is this a good idea or what?

Iv had a mothful of turtle %@&* before when I had turtles and I new about egg yolk but why would you want to eat the left overs

WHy is java moss so messy, I removed it from my tank today and lots of dead or decomposing plant matter bits came out of it and now my tank it all dirty :-?
