  1. Are the rays more interesting because you can't have them?
  2. White and black or those gold and brown ones?
  3. I paid 10k for my Subie, but it's reliable. It may take 3 years to pay off, but I know it will work without issue for at least those 3 years. My sister has bought 6 cars in the last year alone. All under $4k, none of which last more than a few months. Not surprisingly, none of her cars are reliable and she sells them off to help pay for the new car. The one off payment is well worth the peace of mind. She got a piece of... junk (kiddie filter)
  4. So, the tank is airtight, and has air being pumped into it? How do you release the pressure that is being built up?
  5. There has been more research done with chickens, so they have hormones etc to help the chickens along. I'm sure with enough interest, they COULD do the same with rabbit. But hey, if everything tastes like chicken, why not save the research money and just have chicken?
  6. We sooo have to find some. I'll find us a tank.
  7. Gotta love the scarlet (L025) Pleco. However, this would go in my main tank if I ever found one.
  8. It worked well. Tank had a 50% water change in half an hour. Much less bucket carrying.
  9. No, yesterday and today have been death free. I am unsure as to whether the water changes have been helping or that I ran out of those particular bloodlines.
  10. Please specify "no mould inhibitor". Otherwise it could get ugly.
  11. OK, will do. How can two pet stores have such varying results?
  12. Chickens are easier to catch, therefore cheaper. My brother used to get paid to hunt rabbits on a dairy farm, then he'd sell off the skins/fur and cook the meat. Easy money, easy stew.
  13. That's interesting Adrienne, The first to die off were from one particular supplier, then their kids... the two that have remained alive were supplied by L.A. Should I expect many of my fry to start floating? I have had these guppies for about 6 months, maybe longer. They have bred often before without these effects.
  14. Mum used to keep love birds. Damn vicious things. Get a male canary. He'll sing his heart out
  15. Hey guys, for the last week my female guppies have been dying off, one or two a day. I find the corpses in various states of floating / half eaten. Finally managed to get a water test done today. Results came back clean. A0, N0, N0. pH 6.5-7.0. Only the adults have been dying. The large ones first, with the exception of the largest two. Only one male has died. All of the fry are untouched. I'm about to browse Google for anything that I can find, but I thought I would ask on here also.
  16. Yes Sam, but this set up was intended to half that cost
  17. Actually, quite sadly, The regulator shown won't fit a standard bottle. It needs a special fixing that the supplier sells separately at a premium. Go figure. The Guy selling the paintball cylinder is reluctant to sell it for any purpose other than for a paintball gun. Apparently, some moron filled one with compressed air and it exploded. Go figure. I bought a nicer looking diffuser. The wife wants me to test that out before I buy a full CO2 setup. (Her thoughts: If there is enough CO2 in the air, why add more? Try dissolving more of it instead of relying on an airstone or bubble tube) Solenoid seems trustworthy, but without a CO2 tank and/or regulator, I saw little point in getting the solenoid. Will update this post as I get more information. So far it seems, if you're going to bother, go all out and pay for a decent setup. Saving little amounts may cost you big amounts.
  18. We cleared out all her toys (threw out old ones, etc). The tub has wheels, I was pushing her around the lounge in it.
