  1. I have seen this also, but up here in TGA we don't get the shakes :happy2: I bought one of them, took it home, put it on a flat surface and it cracked straight away (didn't use poly   ) So something about using those two supports instead of a full stank seems to be working
  2. Is the tank sitting off the edge of the table?? Might want to see if you can even out both sides to reduce the overhang
  3. I may be classed as a freak, but I see a small tank as 54L (60cm x 30cm x 30cm). Small-Medium as 121L (90cm x 45cm x 30cm) Medium as 182L (90cm x 45cm x 45cm) Medium-Large as 300L (120cm x 50cm x 50cm) Large as 648L (120cm x 90cm x 60cm) or (180cm x 60cm x 60cm) Nice as 1512L (180cm x 120cm x 70cm) Perfect is 3.0m x 3.0m x 3.0m triangle base, 2.5m high. Built into the house between the lounge and the bar. I'll get pics as soon as Royce fills it.
  4. I had green water once. 2 blocks of aqua one pH buffer cleared the green water, and I haven't used the blocks again since (or had an algae issue). They look like white chocolate.
  5. Bristlenose in with goldfish?
  6. Automated timers are only about $6. Lights are only on for set time or else fish will get stressed and algae will go nuts
  7. There are some that look like gold nuggets that only get to 15cm. There was an argument about how they were labelled around somewhere...
  8. You're going to find out, and fast. There's a reason we say they take over your tank
  9. 10 little ones. Not so cool when you have 3 large females.
  10. Jaide, any luck with Cleaning that filter? I would recommend 2 x CF 1200 s. Easy.
  11. TM. $1.00 each. 3cm +. Easy money. Edit: Specify no Shipping
  12. If you find a solution that isn't "kill everything", loaches, or a puffer, let me know
  13. They look great for a week, then die. It's one of those things that everyone tries to save a few bucks, but ends up costing more.
  14. Eastland Aquariums is a switched on Guy, and Gisborne's not a large place. I wonder where they got them...
  15. con - they're snails, not fish. :nilly:
  16. Or just use those little weights that they use to sink plants. easy.
  17. WELCOME! Yay, another local. Plants are easy, and it pays to set them up before adding fish. There are a few to avoid though, the local shops stock a few that were grown emersed. If you have any questions, let us know
